Entry of Shikhandi

The war of Mahabharata began. The whole scenario changed within seconds. Within moments there were hundreds of bodies lying dead on the battle field. Ashwathhama  with assistance of Vikarna were heading the archery department in the war. Against them stood Karn with Arjun's assistance. The four warriors were extremely talented and intelligent. Karn , Arjun amd Ashwathhama also had the knowledge of using the brahmastra.  They were not attacking one another in the first day but their armies were fighting one another. It was a horrific sight to watch. Duryodhan headed the mace department and his rival was Bheem who was incharge of the macers in the other army. Clashes took place. There were abuses hurled at amine another with both words and weapons. Duryodhan was fighting it safe with Mahamahim Bheesm being his shield during the entire war. Bheesm stopped everyone single handedly. Even though he too was not attacking violently . He didnt want to kill his own grandsons. Duryodhan realised that very easily. Yudhisthir was brilliant with his spear and Nakul and Sahadev were also fighting amazingly with their sword and axe. Everyone were immersed in their fights.  Karn amd Arjun were yoo busy in handling their departments when Karn found an opportunity to imprison Duryodhan . He attacked Duryodhan but Bheesm stopped him amd stood opposite to Karn who couldn't attack all of a sudden at his own pitamah. He was a little taken aback when Shankar ordered him to attack Bheesm. Karn couldn't tose his weapon against his grandfather and Bheesm taking advantage of the situation freed Duryodhan and went else where to fight. Shankar angrily looked at Karn who stood there helplessly. In the first day of the war there were thousands of casualties but the most prominent among them was the son of king Virata Uttar. He lost his precious life un the battlefield and served as a martyr but he was immortal in everyone's hearts.

DURING DISCUSSION AFTER 1ST DAY
"What happened at the battlefield Maharaj Karn?  You didn't attack your enemy and stood helpless with the vijaya in your hand" Shankar asked.
"Did you stop fighting because you were fighting Pitamah Bheesm? Did his appearance chance anything for you at the battlefield Bhrata Karn?" Krishna asked.
Karn knew he was at fault. He knew how important this war was. He knew this was inevitable. He knew he had to fight according to his dharma. He knew it!
"Forgive me for being emotional at the wrong moment Krishna Shankar. Forgive me. I know how important this war is. I have had my weak moment but now my hands wont tremble again while attacking my loved ones because I know evil should be eliminated no matter if the evil one is family." Karn said confidently. Shankar and Krishna nodded and smiled at him.

"You have betrayed us pitamah! You have broken your pledge of serving our kingdom. Today by showing mercy towards the Kaunteyas you have proven that you dont want us to win. This is treachery ! You have broken your promise!!!" Duryodhan shouted pointing fingers towards Mahamhaim who was taken aback and was humiliated awfully before the entire army. Bheesm tried to control his rage.
"Dont question my dharma Yuvraj! You dont know my dharma! I,Devavrat, was named Bheesm after sworing such an extreme promise. Dont question my integrity Yuvraj! The death of the Kaunteyas is what you want and you shall have it! You have Mahamahim Bheesm by your side who will not disappoint the crown and this Rajya even if he has to sacrifice his entire family for that. I promise you that" Bheesm swore once again.
Duryodhan and Ganfharraj smirked together. Their plan was successful. They had instigated Bheesm and now no one could stop him.

Next day at war the battlefield looked like a morgue with unpreserved deadbodies lying everywhere. Some bodies were claimed by their families while some were kept unreserved amd alone in the war field.
The kaunteyas and the Kauravas stood opposite to one another. It was time for the war in the second day to start .
"Today I , Bheesm have sworn that I will kill all of you without any hesitation. I have promised to stay faithful to my kingdom forever and you all are standing against my kingdom and are my enemies in the war. I cant show any mercy towards you all. From today my prime motive will be bloodshed and the death of the Kaunteyas!" Bheesm declared even though his own heart was burning with pain . He was so helpless.
The kaunteyas were taken aback. They had never imagined their pitamah to utter such cruel words. They knew how important promises were to Bheesm but they had never imagined him to kill his own family for his promise. They were very sad but they too were helpless. They were his rivals. They understood his helplessness too. They were rivals amd they yoo would not leave any opportunity to injure pitamah in the war. So it seemed like a fair fight.
But things turned nasty as Bheesm showed his real form in the war.
He alone was capable of destroying the entire world. He single handedly destroyed one third of their army without a scratch in his body.  He was the best at warfare and he proved it once again. Karn was worried. If the matter continued like this then they would not have any chance to win the war. Pitamah had the boon that he would die whenever he wanted then what were they supposed to do?!
"Bhrata it's a very serious issue. Pitamah will kill all of us. He has lost his entire mercy and has converted into a killing machine."Tudhisthir explained.
Arjun nodded.
"The only thing we can do to stop this is..." Krishna was speaking when he was interrupted by Karn.
"Planning Pitamah's death. We need go kill pitamah" karn said morosely. Krishna smiled and looked at Karn pride visible in his eyes.
Everyone were sad but they knew it was necessary.  They had to plan the death of pitamah.
"I know someone who can help you in that matter Arya" Niyati cried entering the chamber along with Draupadi.
Then enterd the person everyone had been waiting for. The deafeator of Bheeesm who was blessed to kill Bheesm by Mahadev himself. Everyone's eyes were filled with hope as Shikhandi entered the chamber only now he was a man and went by the name Shikhandi.
