Storm clouds gather in the sky as Jasper,Genesis and Bella pull up in the Jeep. Genesis couldn't help but smell the fresh air a sigh escaping her lips as bird were chirping away
"It's a good thing your here we need an umpire, Genesis darling are you playing?" Esme asked not giving the frustrated brunette eye contact
"Of course!" The purple haired girl chirped happily as she walked onto the field, all of the Cullens greeted her while Jasper and Bella following behind
"It's time...." Alice stated in a serious tone, at that moment the sky becomes dark and cloudy the sound of thunder rumbled throughout the field
Bella stayed by Esme's side who was the catcher, Alice pitches with lightning fast speed while Edward and Emmett took their position within the outfield
Rosalie stepped forward her bat ready her face held stoic yet her eyes were filled with seriousness Alice threw the ball towards her.
The blonde haired vampire smashes the ball with the aluminium bat a loud cracking sound filled the air as the ball shoots deep into the forest
"That has to be a home run" Genesis laughed watching as Flashed from her spot no doubt running around the field with her vampiric speed
"Edward is very fast" Esme explained watching how Edward raced out of the woods with the ball and whips it to home plate to which the Cullen Matriarch caught milliseconds before Rosalie slides in
"You out" Bella declared smugly earning a dangerous glare from Rosalie, Emmett went towards his mate comforting her, saying that it's just a game and to ignore Isabella
It was now Carlisles turn, he hits a line drive both Edward and Emmett race for the catch, diving 15 feet In the air both colliding together with such might that it sounds like enormous boulders falling both missed the ball as Carlisle passed the last plate
Jasper was up next, he gestured for Genesis to hold the bat his hands wrapped around her as they got into a stance
"There's no way she can hit that" Isabella snorted yet a loud crack was heard her mouth opened wide as the ball fled straight through the forest maybe even to the next town over
"STOP!" Alice panicked Edward immediately by her side "I didn't see them" the family began to gather around the home plate
"They're travelling so quickly" Alice stated with a worried look, both humans looked at the pixie haired girl confused
"You said they left the county" Rosalie remarked to her sister who replied "They did, but then they heard us..... and changed their mind"
"Put your hair down darlin'" Jasper whispered within his mates ear to which she obliged hoping to hide her scent from the vampires that are coming towards them
"You too Bella" Carlisle said to the brunette who begrudgingly did the same. The blonde vampire frowned at the girls actions
"Like that will help I can smell the mouth breather from across the field!" Rosalie sneered earning a sharp look from Esme
"I shouldn't have brought you here I'm so sorry" Jasper whispered, Genesis former "it's not your fault Jaz" she sighed watching as three people emerged from the woods
A black male with dreadlocks wearing a orange jacket, no shirt and denim jeans was holding the baseball, on his right was a wavy blonde woman who wore a white fur coat and on the mans left was a blonde male who to which Genesis noticed was wearing Waylons Jacket. She then noticed their eyes were a deep burgundy colour and that they did not wear any shoes
"I believe this belongs to you" the black male said as he tossed the ball to Carlisle who caught it with ease to which he smiled politely thanking him
"Could you use three more players?" The man asked, Carlisle being the polite person he is said "of course"
"I'm Laurent" the man introduced "this is Victoria" he gestured the the woman then to the male "and James"
"Would you like to bat first?" Carlisle asked politely, the rest of the Cullens however were weary of the new comers especially James
"Laurent picks up a bat. The Cullens take the field. Carlisle is catcher, Edward is on first, Bella stood behind Edward while Genesis was wrapped within Jaspers embrace
Who knew that baseball would soon turn into a game of chase?
