Michael’s P.O.V.

By the time we had gotten back to our flat, contemplation was in my mind about whether or not it was too late to even attempt to knock on her door, but after much thought, I chose not to. I knew that if she was in then she was probably already sleeping from the nights of partying that she told me about so I didn’t want to ruin that moment for her, but I wasn’t sure whether she would be mad about me blowing her off like that.

”She won’t care dude it was just one night,” Luke said after I’d been groaning all morning about the issue

”Yeah but tonight could’ve been good for us,” I argued thinking about the possibilities if yesterday went as planned

”Any night will be good for you two if you want it to be, just fucking reschedule and stop whining before I punch you,” Ashton spoke, finally giving me the courage to knock on her door

 Jemma’s P.O.V.

I was about to make myself some breakfast until someone at my door interrupted me.

"Michael?" I questioned seeing him once I opened it

”Hey Jem,” he smiled weakly as I looked at him to continue

 ”What’s up?”

”I wanted to apologize about last night…” He began awkwardly as I tried to remember what even happened last night. My sleep was honestly the best thing I’ve felt in weeks and it was enough to make me forget about the moments before my eyes finally closed.

”Last night? Oh the movie thing, it’s fine. I actually got some rest for once,” I shrugged it off

”Oh, so you didn’t want the movie thing before?” He asked seeming a little hurt by my response

Was I supposed to get worked up by this? How else did he want me to react?

"What? No, I did. But it was okay that it didn’t happen either because I could sleep for a lot longer,"

 ”Alright, I see,” he mumbled

”Okay what’s really up about this then Mike?” I finally questioned noticing his mixed feelings about my response

”Nothing, if you’re okay then I am too. I’ll see you later,” he said a quick goodbye before turning around to go back into his apartment

”Michael,” I sighed but was too late because he had already closed his door and shut me out

If there was ever to be someone mad about the whole situation last night then I’m pretty sure I should be that person, so why the hell did Michael seem like that just now?

I decided to just shrug it off and blame it on boy hormones if that even is a real thing. So I closed my door as well and went onto my previous tasks. I went about my regular morning routine starting off with breakfast to energize me for the workout that I usually have in the building’s gym, so I changed into my gear and headed downstairs. Being one of the few people who actually use the gym here, I was surprised to see a new face working on the treadmill that I usually start off my day with. A new face with that familiar blonde streak on top of his black head of hair.

”Hey Calum,” I greeted him deciding to use the machine next to him as he looked at me twice as if he was making sure it was really me

”Jemma,” he smiled as I began my jog

”You come here often?” He pulled the most basic line in the book as a joke to break the ice

”Yes, yes I do. You’re actually using my treadmill there my friend,” I commented
