Sunghoon's POV

I immediately stood up from my seat seeing the shocking scene in front of me. Not being able to say anything I just gulped looking at Hyerin who was shocked herself. "Aunt stop." Heeseung stopped his aunt who was fuming mad by now. Her face had completely turned red. And so did Hyerin's, but the girl just stood there touching her cheeks.

"I never taught you to be like this Lee Hyerin." Mrs. Lee shouted as Hyerin looked up at her mother with red yet dry eyes. "I hate you so much!" She loudly spoke before running outside her house. "Hoon follow her." Heeseung hyung told me as he controlled his aunt. I nodded my head following the girl outside.

"Hyerin stop!" I ran after her but she didn't slow down. So I sped up and quickly made it to her speed. "Hyerin!" I pulled her hand stopping as she looked at me with her blood red eyes. My eyes met with her painful orbs as I could feel a slight bit of her pain. She just breathed heavily. I could sense that she wanted to cry but couldn't at all.

"Leave me alone Sunghoon." She said slowly looking down while gritting her teeth. I felt really bad for her and so pulled her into a hug. She was surprised but stayed still. Patting her head, I brought her closer to me. "You can cry." I slowly said. It was silent for a while until I felt my shirt getting wet and her slowly sniffing. I closed my eyes letting her cry in my embrace.

Hyerin's POV

I sat on the grass looking at the sky while still letting down some tears. Sunghoon sat right behind me at a distance since I didn't want him to sit right beside me. It'd be awkward to cry in front of him even though I just made his shirt wet. The incident earlier really did affect me in a bad way.

My mom's hatred towards my father- it hurt me a lot to see her say so many made up stuffs about my father. I hid my face with my hands and sighed having another breakdown as his memories kept coming and going.

After feeling better, I stopped watching the stars and stood up to see the guy still sitting behind me. I thought he left already. Sunghoon swiftly got up seeing me staring him. "Are you fine?" He asked as I nodded and walked by him. This is awkward gosh. I walked ahead of him towards my house. He followed me barely making any noise that I had to turn around to see if he was still there or not.

Stopping in front of the gate, I abruptly looked at boy. "Uhh Sunghoon." Hesitating to say, I looked at the tall guy with raised eyebrows and sighed. "Don't tell anyone about today." Biting my lips, I looked down hoping he wouldn't be some evil dude who'd use this to embarrass me later on. But I only felt a hand on my head as it messed up my hair ruffling it. "I won't." He gave me the purest smile ever before walking to his car as I stared at his back.

Didn't even realize when a small smile appeared on my face.

Sunghoon's POV

I laid down on my bed thinking about Hyerin. I never knew she had such problems. Problems I never faced. Yes I might not have my mother anymore but my father is enough to give me both parents' love. Unlike her mother who just insulted her father as well as her in front of everyone. Then the moment when I hugged her appeared on my mind.

Holding my heart, I felt it beat faster than usual as a soft curve appeared on my lips.

"Lee Hyerin I want to know you more."

Next day

Hyerin's POV

I awkwardly walked front and backwards every now and then thinking about the previous night as embarrassment drowned me. Until a knock disturbed. "Who is it?" I shouted. "It's me." Heeseung's voice echoed from the hallway as I opened the door to see him come inside my room. "Like I guessed you're embarrased." He said out as I frowned as to how he knew about it. "Come on Hyerin you're my cousin, I know you at least this much."

I sighed grabbing my backpack and getting outta the house as the older student followed me to our school. "Don't worry. Sunghoon won't tease you-"

"Heeseung stop. I'm not embarrased."

"Sure thing." He smiled cheesily as I rolled my eyes ignoring him. So... I decided to stay underground. Not the mafia's world. I meant not meet with Sunghoon at all. But luck was never by my side as I saw the guy approaching me. Where do I run? Heeseung is behind me. Sunghoon is in front of me. Just surrender Lee Hyerin.

Fine.

The guy came and put his hands on my shoulder as I pushed him away. He put on a pout as I looked away. "Good luck Hoon. She might ignore you because of yesterday-" "Heeseung get lost please." He creepily laughed leaving me alone with Sunghoon who clinged onto me. "So are you gonna ignore me now?" I didn't answer at first. But not like I'm gonna deny. It's off no use since he already knows I'm awkward bout yesterday.

"Yes if I have to."

"Don't-" he got cut off by a group of people who came at our direction. "Hey Hyerin." The girl at the center called me out as I uninterestedly looked at her. I know her. She's Seohyun. Top2 in ice skating a.k.a the jealous girl in every story. "Let's have a match." I scoffed at her. I'm not that free to actually have a match with someone I just defeated less than two weeks ago.

"Seohyun-ah you lost to me 1 week ago." I said out grabbing my backpack and passing her while the others just oo-ed at the situation. So annoying. "You're afraid right?" And there goes the oldest trick to get someone agree to do something. Let's just get this over with. "Come to the rink." I said without turning around and walked to the practice room.

-

"You got this!" Everyone cheered for who knows whom as we both made our way to the ice rink. It was like another match. A less serious one but it'd hurt more to lose here. It'd be embarrassing for Seohyun to face me again. Smirking, the music started as I got on the ice feeling the vibe. I loved it so much. It's like I'm in my own world except Seohyun just keeps ruining it by making it a competition.

But it ain't like she could win. I've seen her skating. Unfortunately she isn't that good yet. And it's obvious I won this match again. Getting outside the rink, I tiredly sat on the bench hearing everyone cheer as they slowly start leaving the stadium.

"Yeah that's the girl I like!" I heard the pale boy shout as he made his way towards me. The other's enjoyed it. They enjoyed Sunghoon's goofy behavior. You might call it cute in their eyes but in my eyes, it was pure cringe. I sighed about to take off the skates until Sunghoon stopped me.

And the next moment I knew he was on his knees staring at me before untying the shoe as I get him do that.

"You did great." He caressed my hair as I nervously stared at him. Gosh no I shouldn't feel this so soon.
