FACTS ABOUT BGYO (plus their history):

- ABS-CBN launched the Star Hunt Academy in 2018. Direk Laurenti Dyogi, head of entertainment aims a way to introduce Filipino talent in the global stage. Among the 250 auditionees screened for the project Mr. Dyogi initially hoped to debut a 7-member idol group but eventually cut down into just 5 boys namely: Angelo Troy Rivera (Gelo), Akira Morishita (Akira), John Lloyd Toreliza (JL), Michael Claver Jr. (Mikki), and Nathaniel Porcalla (Nate).

- The group was trained for almost 2 years (2018-2020)

- The group was trained for almost 2 years (2018-2020). Mikki was the last member to be included in the group thus he need to double or triple his training to be able to catch up with the other boys.

- They were trained under a professional vocal coach Kitchie Molina and dance coach Mickey Perz

- They were trained under a professional vocal coach Kitchie Molina and dance coach Mickey Perz. They were also trained by South Korean coaches from MU Doctor Academy.

- In August 2020, the group participated in the Philippine Kpop Convention's Happy Hallyu event, performing K-pop dance covers, including Seventeen's "Let me hear you say", EXO's "Tempo" and BTS "ON". Also their song and dance performance of "Raise your flag".

- In October 2020, they performed another set of K-pop dance covers and a vocal cover of EXO's "Sing for You", dance cover of NCT's "Cherry Bomb" and BTS "Mic drop" during the Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival online event.
