I shake my head viciously.

Why is he here?? And how???

The urge to run over and tackle him in a bear hug is to the point it's painful. Sometimes I wish he'd just tell me he knows I'm madly in love with him.

I went through 2 years of denial to accept my feelings you, you dick. You better notice it soon or I might just bloody explode.

I slowly let reality sink in on how bad for me it would be if he noticed me. I follow the wall behind and sneak away eventually exiting the metaverse.

I run to school knowing how late I am now.

Miss Kawakami was stood, arms folded at the gates,
"So you're late too (Y/N)?"

"Yeah sorry, I overslept, my alarm didn't go off and yeah... there isn't anyone to wake me up..." I lie slyly and she sighs,

"I'll let you off, your situation is relatively difficult. On another note, have you seen Ryuji or the new kid? I really hope they're not together... The poor kid's already on probation he doesn't need Ryuji's influence." She looks like she feels sorry for the kid,
"Now that you mention it I did see those two together on my way here... together... oh boy... t o g e t h e r"
She sighs and walks me in.

She opens the classroom door and tells the current teacher I was with her the whole time, which I am eternally grateful for.
I plop myself in my seat in front of Ann, remembering the occurrence earlier on I turn my body to her,
"Hey Ann I saw you with Kamoshida I know he's a creep and I hope he didn't do anything to you, you're okay right?" I say low enough for only her to hear.
She smiles sadly,
"Yeah I'm fine, thanks for worrying. (L/N) right?" she asked brightening up
"Mhm! Just call me (Y/N) though, no need to be formal or anything!"

We continue a light hearted conversation throughout the lesson and walk out together.
"Hey, (Y/N)... thanks for talking to me, normally people laugh at me because of the rumours between me and Kamoshida..." she was genuinely thankful,
"Ah rumours are whatever to me, and besides I know you don't have a say in any of the matters, about the rumours or the situation with him." I smile back at her.

We end up finding Akira and Ryuji talking about something and seemingly losing their minds,
"So, I leave you two for 10 minutes this morning and you disappear for almost the whole day?" I lean against the wall and cross my arms, cocking an eyebrow.
"A-Ah (Y/N)?" Ryuji jumps, am I not supposed to be listening?

"Britain, actually!" I respond smiling

I jump as I feel my phone vibrate, I open it up and it tells me that Akechi had messaged me, my face very obviously lights up,
"Ooo has (Y/N) got a boyfriend?" Ann comes sneaking around trying to peek at my phone,
"I- I n-no!" I stutter blushing wildly,
"Wait Akechi? That's the famous detective! You know him?" Ann gets wide eyed,
"Hehe well, we've been friends for years... ever since we were little kiddies..." I rub the back of my neck shyly,
"A childhood romance? Cliche." Ryuji shakes his head, "what do you even see in that stuck up asshat?" He continued,
"A lot..." my voice is quiet with obvious embarrassment.
I look at the phone screen opening the message reading the words:

I finish work early today, I'll meet you after school and walk you home.
