Gulf's POV

I can't believe that he met my little sister and saw me like that, I'm sure he will stick to me more and bothers even more, I actually didn't want anyone to know about my background, first, in case, by mistake, found out about my eyes, it won't bring any trouble to my young siblings and second, I don't want to have any attention since my father is famous but I can't deny I felt proud when I heard the doctor complimenting him

Mai and Ray surprised me with a birthday gifts, I honestly forgot about it since I was so focus on reviewing for next week's exams, Mai gave me a drawing of her, me, Ray and father and her mother holding hands near a house smiling, while Ray gave me a box, inside was my favorites dark chocolate, along with some handmade origami, a small album that had our pictures and a happy birthday card, I was overjoyed with their cute gifts, they are really very precious to me and I want to protect them, my step mother prepared a big cake while father bought me a watch that I was planning to buy

"you really didn't have to prepare all this, I'm already old for this"

"what are you talking about? No matter how old someone may get, he must enjoy his special day, come on let's sing kids" father said as I sat smiling watching them singing and clapping, they make feel so precious and normal, it's the only place where I can feel at ease and relaxed, they are the greatest family that I could ask for and that's why I want to protect them and not cause any trouble for them.

The next day, just as I expected, he was the first person I met, he was standing and grinning like an idiot, he came closer greeting me but I ignored and started heading toward my faculty yet of course he started following me as usual

"your little sister is really cute and a good kid, do you have any other siblings?"

"I won't answer personal questions"

"then I will visit Mai today and ask her" I glanced to him immediately

"don't you dare" he giggled while I was angry

"so you are the overprotective older brother, that's unexpected, every day I get to discover a new side to you"

"every day, my annoyance level is getting higher, I told you to stay away from me, just leave me alone"

"that won't happen" he seriously said with a faint smile

"btw, thanks to Mai, I discovered that I truly want to become a pediatrician, I want to protect the kids' smiles, to save them and watch them healthily growing up"

"aside from that, I'm also resolved to make you smile!" I knew that he would declare smth this stupid, just why did I end being stuck to an overly positive extrovert? I put on my headset and continued walking, he must have said a few other things but I didn't hear him because of the loud music

He started sending me messages containing some memes or jokes, he would come to the library and start telling me some funny stories, he even surprised me once by coming from behind and tickling me, I looked to him sighing as he starred widely not expecting that it will be hard to make me laugh

"even tickling didn't work, I will think of smth else" he murmured

"just give up, I can't be myself except when I'm with my family so it's impossible to make me laugh or grin" he stayed silence for a minute

"then I will make you feel at ease with me too"

"how will I feel at ease with someone I fear, please just live me alone, I'm getting overly stressed because of you" I begged him, he looked worried and sad for a minute but then smiled kindly
