ALEX

BAM!

"OW! Ow! Ow! Ow!" I whimpered and hopped on one foot whilst hugging my poor leg. "Dammit!" This was the... Fifth? Sixth? Perhaps tenth time I'd been hit the entire week! And it's just MONDAY TODAY. God, Why is this happening to me?! If there was an Idiot Award in this school, I'd probably end up nominated for it. And when I thought everything couldn't get any worse, Everyone in the entire class is staring at me. A sweat drop is seen forming above their heads. Great. Just great. You are a huuuuuuge idiot, Alex.

Suddenly, I felt a heavy weight land upon my waist. A stench of tan spray and early morning jog sweat began to eradicate from beside me. "Alexis, Baby. What's chillin'?" There he was... Gunther Reynolds. He had the most cockiest grin stuck on his face. Plus the fact that his arm was around my waist makes things worse. GREAAAAAAT!

"First of all, it's ALEX. Second, get your hands off me!" I hissed as I slapped his hands away. He only responded with a chuckle before placing his fingertips upon my chin. They smelled of aftershave. Gross. "Feisty... That's what I like in a girl." He grinned widely before leaning closer. This made my eyes widen and without hesitation, I slapped him. This caused the entire class to gasp at us. Crap. He only cupped his cheek with a confused gaze.

So who was Gunther Reynolds? Now that's a question you don't want to ask in front of him. Well you see, he's the ultimate jock of this school. He has this huge ego where in if he knows that you don't know him, he ends up shoving you inside a locker. Yeah... Typical bully. Well, I wasn't really terrified of him nor his buds but... I was mostly terrified of getting trashed by every single one of his fans plus the his dad is kinda part of the school's P.E. Committee. Figures! Luckily, Jessica had cut in before I would've even ask his identity. That I'm greatly grateful for, since she explained everything. I guess everyone is still a big huge puzzle I have to solve if I want to survive this school. Sigh. Oh! And where were we again?

Right, right... about Gunther... Well, The cheer squad would instantly squeee at his presence. He was, after all, the most strongest guy in school. Meh. He wasn't exactly my type. He just so... Beefy. Okay. Ew. The hell did I just say! But the guy wouldn't leave me alone! Ugh, that Creep! He keeps on calling me as 'his' even though we aren't much of an item. God, I hope nobody believes him. But them again... He is popular. Damn it. And the thing about getting glares from his fans was getting quite annoying. Though, I'm quite relieved that they haven't done anything towards me. Probably because they 'respect' that oaf! More like they try to avoid getting beaten up. But I do believe that 30% of them actually do praise him. Still though, he hasn't shown anything to make me respect the guy. He has this huge ego that makes me want to punch him so hard. Khhhh. Can't a girl just live a normal life?!

As if awakened from a trance, Gunther let out a wide chortle. "That was amazing, babe. You really need to work on your strength but hey, not bad for a girl. Let's go train together sometime." He winked before leaving the room and calling out to his buddies. The entire class gave me a look of relief. Though, other people from different sections began to pass by our room and the mutter of my name could be heard. I'm quite positive that they heard everything. I wish I could beat that piece of turd! Ugh.

"From Titus to Gunther... Wow. You're quite an item, Davis." I heard someone from behind me clap. I'd know that voice from anywhere. It was Will. I turned around and saw that I was correct. "I still wonder why he--"

"Don't want to talk about it." I cut him off, hands on my hips. I just wanted to eat. No more anything about Gunther. I must erase all that thought. "I want to eat my lunch in peace and avoid stabbing my meal. Is that too much to ask?" I added. He only shrugged and gestured for me to go outside. "If you say so... The others are waiting outside anyways. That is, if you still plan on eating with us..." He reminded. Right. I started to go with them during lunch break since I'd often get flocked by either the cheer squad or random dudes. The only thing that keeps them away would be Jessica, Titus, Will, and Luke. I still wonder why...

I headed out and saw them.

"Heh. Alexis Baby, huh? New nickname." Jessica snickered, her hands inside her pockets. She stood there with her Student Council uniform, but the top had her football jacket. Tomboy-ish would never be the right word for her. She'd set off this feminine glow. It kinda makes me jealous of her. I mean, what girl wouldn't be?

"Shut up." I hissed and massaged my temple. "For Pete's sake, can't we just go to the canteen in peace and silence?!"

"With these idiots... I highly doubt it." Luke muttered under his breath. He was standing beside Jessica. He had this serious look on his face. "Come on... Titus is waiting for all of us." And with that, he began to walk away. Luke was Titus' younger brother. He was the complete opposite of his older sibling. If you'd put those two together, disregarding their age and some of their physical features, you'd know which is which through how they'd respond.

"Well, his day was sour..." I mumbled.

"If we're lucky enough, those two wouldn't start another world war." Will adjusted his glasses and began walking. Will had been best friends with the siblings. I guess he knew them more than anyone would. Well... Anyone other than Jessica. I couldn't help but feel like I'm the fifth wheel of the group. I mean... They all knew each other and then here I am, suddenly appearing out of nowhere and joining them. Kinda makes me feel sad.

"We better hurry now, shouldn't we?" Jessica added. She patted me on the shoulder and gave me a wink. "Last one gets to do fifty laps around the entire gym!" She laughed and ran past Will towards the canteen area. Will looked back at me and shrugged. "You heard the lady. Last one gets to do fifty laps... I better hurry." He started running. Oh crap.

"What the... HEY! WAIT UP!" I dashed towards their direction, dodging every single student and teacher walking in my way.
