M/r - morning routine

AUGUST 16, the morning before the first day of school

Y/N woke up at 7:30 A.M. to prepare for your first day of school. You turned to your phone to turn off the alarm that had set. You laid in your bed for another 3 minutes before deciding to get up and brush your teeth. You say up from your bed and your feet hit the cold wooden floor, and you walk up to your door and turn the handle and step out. As you walk to the bathroom, you hear your mother playing Doo Wop (that thing) by Lauryn Hill.  You unknowingly bop your head to the drums in the background of the song as you turn on the light to the bathroom.

You take a look in the mirror and let out a cry. "holy fuck no! I cannot believe this!" You look in the mirror you realize that your forgot to put your bonnet on last night and the wig you had placed on the day prior had shifted in your sleep.

"What am I gonna do?" You start to scramble around the bathroom and try to think of a way to fix your hair. "Momma!" You shout from the bathroom.

You hear your mom walking down the hallway because of the breaking sound it made anytime someone walked by. Your mom peeked in the door from the bathroom and looked. "What's wrong?"

"What's wrong? My hair, momma. Oh my god, I forgot to tie my hair up last night," You said touching the hair that was standing up lightly. Your mom walked up behind you to where it was you and her in the mirror. "What am I gonna do? First day of school and they'll think I'm homeless."

Your mom sighed, "Well first of all, as much as the wig costs they better not think you're homeless and second, baby we can fix this okay? We gon put a little headband on and fix you right up okay?" You nodded trying not to freak out. "Just get ready and I'll do your hair last okay, it doesn't even look that bad, you flipping out over nothing."

(also my knowledge on wigs is very limited so I'm sorry if it's not accurate, I'm just saying when I forget my bonnet oooo girl 😟)

You stared at your mom as she walked out the bathroom. "Damn, well it's not your hair is it shit." You said quietly to yourself. You brushed your teeth and washed your face and did your same m/r that you did every morning. After you finished your m/r, you contemplated taking another shower, even though you took one last night. You decided to shower again, because in your mind you can never be too clean. You hopped in the shower. (I'm not explaining the shower you took, I mean damn?)

After your shower, you grabbed a towel from the rack and wrapped it around your body. You tiptoed to your room because you didn't want to fall on the wooden floors. When you entered your room, you grabbed the door handle and locked it and let your towel fall. You walked over to your drawers and picked out your f/c panties and bra. Once you slipped those on, you look in your closet at the outfit you picked the day before to wear on your first day.
