"I'm fine! Dad, stop fussing."Tony ignored you.
You groaned, "This is embarrassing..."
As soon as he was sure you really were okay, he placed his hands on your shoulders and glared at you, "Don't you ever pull something like that again." he said firmly.
"But I helped!" you argued.
"I don't care." He then turn around to face Thor and gestured towards the scepter "It feels good, yeah? I mean, you've been after this thing since SHIELD collapsed. Not that I haven't enjoyed our little raiding parties, but..."
"No," Thor answered, "but this...this brings it to a close."
You zoned out as they were taking; distracted by your own thoughts. You thought about what Thor must be feeling. This scepter had been his brother's main weapon when he had tried to take over earth. No matter how evil the guy was, it was still his brother... You couldn't even imagine how it would feel like to fight your brother. Especially after having spent most of your life unaware of each other's existance.
You really missed your brother right now; you hoped he was doing okay.
You were drawn out of your thoughts when Captain America, Steve Rogers, approached you, "You did good out there, kid."
You shifted nervously, shaking your head sheepishly, "I didn't really do much."
"In a team, everyone had a role to play, and you did yours. That's what's important."
You look up at him, a bit in shock, and a bit starstruck to be honest (this was Captain America after all). You smiled shyly, the little kid in you screaming like it was Christmas; this was Captain Friggin' America! The closest you had ever been to him before was reading your grandpa's old journals. It was like meeting your favorite character from a book series!
"Thanks, Cap." you said, hopefully sounding cool about it.
He gave you a kind smile before nodding and walking away.
Your attention was then turned to your father who was still chatting with Thor.
"I mean, just a few days until the farewell party. You're staying, right?"
"Yes, yes, of course. A victory should be honored with revels." said Thor.
"Yeah. Who doesn't love revels. Captain?" Tony asked.
"Hopefully this puts an end to the Chitauri and HYDRA, so. Yes, revels." The Captain answers.
"A party?" you asked excitedly.
"An adult party." your father said with a warning tone.
"I am an adult!" you argued, offended.
"Adults above the legal drinking age only, Guppy."
"But I've never been to a party before." you said, ignoring that your father just implied you were too young to drink.
"I really doubt there were never any parties at that teenager filled school of yours." he said, crossing his arms as he did.
"Well, yeah..." you reluctantly agreed. "But I want to go to a party where there isn't any risk of something blowing up."
"Blowing up?" asked the Captain.
You laughed sheepishly, "Let's just say the kids at my school are, um, special."
"I'll think about it." Tony relented.
"Yes!" you celebrated, throwing your hands in the air, then you jumped happily to hug your dad, "Thanks, daddy!"
