I was getting dressed in my bedroom getting ready to go over Ashley's house. Jonathan was sitting on my bed while I do my make up. He was playing with some action figures while he small talked with me.
"So c-can I go to the mov-movie?" He asked.
"I don't know, Jona. Maybe, I'll see if mom will let you."He sighed as he continued to play with his toys. I finished up my make up and put my shoes on, it was around two pm when me and him were leaving. My mom said she'd drive us because the walk would have taken at least twenty minutes from where we stay. As she drove the neighborhood started to change drastically and my mom became uneasy.
Luckily Ashley's house was just outside the parameter in a gated community. She dropped us off and we walked to Ashley's car because she said she was going to pick up Trinity and Karla because Blaine didn't want to drive.
"Hey who's this cutie?" She asked pointing to Jonathan and he blushed and looked away.
"This is my younger brother Jonathan. Jonathan, Ashley and Daniel." I say introducing them to each other. Every one says hi and we make our way into her car.We drive outside the gated community and down into the part where it got bad. She turned down a street and there where a lot of guys standing outside, music blaring from different porches and people barbecuing. The houses weren't the neatest and there was even boarded up houses and a lot of homeless people along with regular people. She finally parked outside a two story house and blew.
I watched the blinds come apart in one spot before shutting again. The door opened and Blaine appeared out. She walked to her black BMW and unlocked it pulling a bag out of it. She was dressed in a white wife beater and black slightly skinny but not to skinny jeans perfectly stacked on white air forces.
She walked to the car and Ashley unlocked it. She looked in at me, Jonathan and Daniel. Then her eyes fell on Ashley. "Ash where is Trinity and Karla?" Her voice annoyed and uninterested. "We're going to get them I came here first cause you live the farthest."
I can feel the tension between the two as their eyes held each other. Then those light brown eyes locked on me. They wondered over my presence then she pulled the seat up and climbed in the back next to Jonathan."Hi blonde." He says to her as Ashley began driving.
"What's up Jona." She says and I turned around so quick. How did she know his nickname?
She looked at me her eyes cold and empty. Her hair hanging mostly in her face. Her lips formed in tight line even with how thick and plush they were.
I turned around not wanting to be weirder than I already just was."S-so I found t-the new Superman action figure from eBay but he costs 145$." Jonathan says to her.
"Is he the real one?" She asked him. I'm guessing he either shrugged or nodded in response. "And you don't have the money?" She asked.
"D-dad doesn't w-want to pay for them anymore. He says I'm too old.""You're never to old for toys... well certain ones but these aren't toys they're collectibles." She says her voice is dry and dull but it sounds like she's interested. "Right. I-I tried to tell him that but he didn't listen to me."
We pulled up to a house in the area where I lived. Literally like four streets over from mine. Two girls came out the house who I'm assuming are Trinity and Karla. They come to the car and got in. The first girl turns around and leans in and kisses Blaine on the cheek. "Hey boo." She says. Blaine wiped her cheek off and looked at the girl like she was dumb.
"Hi Trin." She responded blandly."Hey bitch. Can't say hi?" Karla says. Blaine looked at her and a very small barley visible smirk came on as her lip turnt slightly. She tilted her head. "Hey love." She replied her voice had a little more energy and life to it than any other moment I've heard her speak. Ashley's eyes shot up into the rear view mirror then back to the road.
Karla turned around and played on her phone and Jona and Blaine made small talk.
