The clattering of glasses and chatter overlapped each other, overwhelming Ki with the different sounds.

She had received word the other day that Kuvira had taken Zaofu by force, and thus resulted in another emotionally overwhelmed breakdown by the girl. Mako had barely gotten her to leave her room and her giant stack of war tactic books once again, but still was able to do it.

"I'm going to have to fight her," Ki told him in a frightened nature. "I'm going to have to fight her, you know that right?"

Mako assured her that wouldn't happen, and if it did she wouldn't be alone, yet, Ki couldn't shake the feeling that this, this war, would only end by her and Kuvira going toe to toe.

Much to both Mako, and Ki's, dismay, Wu insisted he had to tag along to the Restaurant— where Mako was supposed to reunite with his friends. Ki tried to persuade him, saying that it was rude and their company was unwanted, but Wu refused to stay in the hotel any longer... he was too worried about getting hurt when Mako was gone.

So, alas, Wu sat in a both with Mako as Ki had planted herself feet away— conversing with people of the Earth Kingdom who had found her location and wanted to inform her of their concerns.

"I have family in Zaofu," one said worriedly. "I don't want Kuvira to get them. The Avatar already tried to face her, but Kuvira prevailed. What are you going to do?"

Another one asked, "will Kuvira stop at the Earth Kingdom? Are you ready to take her down if she makes advances towards Republic City? What is your plan?"

Ki tried to answer them in the best way she could, while still being honest. "I've been working day and night on a plan to stop her," she assured. "This will not go on much longer."

Biting the inside of her cheek, she broke the skin and felt the metallic taste fill her mouth. She was nervous, so nervous— and definitely not equally matched to the military woman. She never let a bender get the better of her before, when she had run ins with the Agni Ki's or Triple Threat's when she were younger, but this was different. This was war.

So involved in her own thoughts and the conversations with her people, she hadn't even noticed Mako's two friends enter the restaurant and sit with him. She didn't even pay attention to Wu's advances on the Avatar— informing her that he was indeed royalty and also related to the Queen.

"I thought it was just going to be the three of us,"
Asami said irritated with the boy's rambling and unneeded comments.
