i look at my phone's lockscreen and lock it. i roll back on my opposite side to sleep, deciding that it's tomorrow's problem.

i wake up earlier than i wanted to and, unfortunately, i cannot fall back asleep. i turn on the fairy lights taped to my headboard and pick up my phone again. i reach out to get my glasses to put on. i turn the brightness down all the way to look at my phone.
i waste a good 40 minutes, scrolling through social media mindlessly. silently laughing at some dumb tik toks, adding more to my pinterest boards, liking spam pics, and what not.
eventually, i drag myself out of bed to go to the kitchen to start my school day. then, leave to walk to my bus stop. after the 20 minute bus ride, i finally arrive at school. i head to my first period, seeing olivia already sitting in her seat.
"hey." i greet her as i sit down.
"hey." she responds back.
olivia seems quiet today, but i don't mind since we hung out yesterday. i take out my stuff, content, and take out a sticky note to write a quick name.

i fold the note and sneakily throw it onto olivia's desk when she's not paying attention. the note hits her arm and lands right in front of it.
