Chapter 10.2

Warning: this chapter may be emotional for some people so take this as a small trigger warning. I have to admit, I struggled writing this one. </3
Also, I recommend Listening to the song I added, it gives the chapter some more feel.

Eren leaped over rocks and branches, holding you tight in his arms. He had three choices.

1: Go straight to the screaming with barely any equipment and put you both in danger.

2: Leave you here whilst he runs to camp since carrying you worn him out and you hurt your leg whilst running so you can't run with him, putting you in danger.

3: walk to camp, putting, potentially, Sasha and Connie at high risk.

"I'm gonna have to leave you here y/n whilst I run to camp." He mumbles, tightening his boots.
"B- but what if another titan comes? I'm gonna fucking die." You hiss. He stood up, sitting you down behind a fallen tree.
"Just say hidden, I need to go to camp and get the others to fight off this titan, it's only a 1 minute run but if I keep carrying you, I'll pass out." He announced. Slipping his jacket off his shoulder, he lays it around you so you don't get cold.
"Please don't try anything stupid y/n, you already cut your leg badly running. I'll send someone over here as soon as I get to camp whilst a few others and I sort out this titan. I love you." He kisses your forhead and before you could reply, he ran into the distance, tears forming in your eyes. You count bare the thought of just sitting here whilst Sasha, Connie and even Eren could die. You both could tell it was sashas and Connies screams. You took off your own jacket and wrapped it around the deep slit formed up your leg. You put on Eren's jacket, not wanting to get your blood on it and stood up, supporting yourself on the tree. You could run, but not too fast or it would hurt. You took a heavy breath, speed walking towards camp.

Eren's POV

I got to camp within seconds, managing to gather up Levi, Erwin and a few other cadets and warned them about the danger Sasha and Connie was in, and the state your leg was in.
"Ok. Me, Eren and the other cadets will make our way to Sasha and Connie. Levi, go find y/n. Take these with you." Erwin hands Levi a few medical things and Levi stuffs it into a small bag, connected to the saddle of his horse. Erwin, I and the other cadets got onto out horses and made our way to Sasha and Connie as fast as we could, Levi going the opposite way.

Levi's pov

Erwin ordered me to find y/n in the forest. Eren described where she was and I realised that it was a few minutes away from camp so I made my way there was quick as possible. However, when I got there, y/n was nowhere to be seen.
"Y/n? You there?" I called. No answer.
"Cadet, I order you to answer me." Again, no answer. I got a little worried for her, Eren said she was here. Unless she somehow got away somewhere. I growled under my breath and steered my horse around the forest. I will  find y/n.

End of Levi's pov

Erwin, Eren and the other cadets searched the forest, soon finding Sasha and Connie hiding, titans swarming the place.
"We tried fighting them off but there were too many." Connie said shaking. Everyone got off their horses and set them by a tree, away from the titans. Sasha and Connie got up.
"We are gonna have to fight back. We've brought our 3dm gear, and I see you have yours. Take your swords out cadets, we are going to fight." Erwin ordered. He sent everyone off in different directions in order for the plan to work. His small plan was to attack from every angle. It was a good plan but if one person got caught, the whole thing would mess up.

Meanwhile...

Levi's horse galloped quietly through the forest as Levi's eyes scanned for you. Looking into the distance, he saw a petite body, layed across a flat large rock, the moonlight shining against it. Levi slowed down the horses pace, jumping off it as he approached the rock. He looked down to see a unconscious y/n, drowning in a pool of red. He flipped you onto your back and saw a large slit leading down from your inner thigh to the middle of your shin, another going right across your chest. Like some sort've creature stuck you across your chest, causing you to pass out. His breathing hitched, looking down at your motionless body. Levi picked your fragile body but bridal style and climbed back onto his horse as he wrapped your chest and leg in fresh white bandages. Levi rode back to camp at a fast pace, looking down at you once in a while.

Back with Eren and the others...

Eren swung in furiously, slicing a titans neck with rage as it fell to the ground. They had been fighting off these titans for around 10 minutes and everything was going good.
"Those titans are getting away!" Connie shouted, pointing at the titans getting further away.
"I got it!" Sasha yelled, swooping towards them with her 3dm gear. She pulled out her swords as she flew through the air, ready to slice the titans neck. She saw a abnormally tall figure in the corner of her eye but before she could take action against it, she was whacked in a completely different direction, furiously slamming against a stone wall. She fell to the ground in a thud. Erwin, Connie and Eren noticed sashas small body fly through the air and ran towards her. She laid there. Lifeless. Blood poured out of her skull as she layed still on her stomach.
"SASHA WAKE UP." Connie screamed, tears flowing vigorously down his face. He shook Sasha with such force that Erwin had to pull him away. Eren reached into her neck, checking her pulse.
"We will take her to the medical tent to help h-"
"No use commander. She's gone." Eren mumbled, a singular tear running down his face, glaring down at Sasha.
"NO SHE CANT BE, WE CAN DO SOMETHING-" Connie started to breathe fast and heavy.
"SHE CANT....she..can't go now." He whimpered. Erwin saw the pain Connie was in, letting go of him. Connie fell to his knees next to sashas body and hugged her tight. He knew he'd have to let go of Sasha at one point. But not like this. Not this early.
"Cmon cadets, the titans are gone now, we need to head back." Erwin said, his voice a little shaky.
"I'm staying here." Connie said in a sad but firm tone.
"You can't st-"
"WELL IM NOT LETTING GO OF THE ONE PERSON WHO...who..." He cried over her. He turned her body to see her face, wiping a smudge of blood on it.
"Who loved me. More than anybody here." His sleeve ran across his face as he tried to dry his eyes, but more tears appeared shortly after.
"We have to let go of people Connie, whether it only hurts a little bit, or if it breaks you completely. We have to stay strong for them." Eren muttered, Connie looking up into his eyes. Eren saw the pain Connie was in, he knew how he felt right now. He knew how hard it was to let go of someone who meant so much to you, but eventually you have to let go of them and take in that they aren't coming back. Connie looked back down at Sasha and picked her up.
"I see you came to the right conclusion. Let's head back." Erwin said, still with a sad expression.

"But Eren..?" Connie asked sadly, gaining a side eye from Eren.
"Yes?"
"How do you let go of someone you love..? Like you did..."

"You don't. You just accept that they are gone...and live with it."

Authors note: damn...I felt what Eren said right at the end. I know this isn't how Sasha died in the actual show, but I wanted to experience what it would be like if she died and I thought this way was more powerful. Sorry to all the people that wanted Sasha alive but it's only gonna get worse in the next chapter so prepare yourselves :)
