All Grown Up

Kendalls POV

After getting dressed i got Chris to drop me back off at the school by telling him that i would get extra credit if i attended the fair.

"Call me when you're ready to go" he says as i nod, waving him off as i get out the car, closing the door as i start towards the school, hearing him drive off behind me

I breathe out before looking around at all the different booths set up and the big crowds of students corralled around a bunch of them.

The booths were all either carnival games, selling school merch, or selling food and they led all the way down the hallway into the gym.

As i walk in the gym i see Ray sitting in the dunk tank...

Ofcourse the baseball team would put together the dunk tank..

He was already soaked and some of his teammates were laughing as they used their three balls to try and knock him in another time

I laugh discreetly as i casually watch him talk shit to them saying they couldnt hit the target to save their lives right before they hit it.

He splashes into the tank full of water as everyone bursts out laughing, including me, watching him flail around to come to the surface and get back on his seat.

He was shirtless and his brown muscular chest was glistening as the water ran down it and dripped into his dark blue swim trunks.

When he finally sat back on his chair he laughed before seeing me and smiled to me as i gave him a little wave and he fell back into the tank as someone hit the target again, causing us all to laugh

When he finally switched with some other guys, he was able to go on break and change into some dryer clothes

"Hey there" he says to me after coming out of the boys locker room. I got up off the hallway bench as i smile to him

"Hey.."

"So..you came.." he starts

"I did" i say to him as he bites his lip a bit, nodding

"Aight" he says "does that mean that you're mine for the night?"

"Only if you buy me funnel cake" i say to him as he chuckles, putting his arm around my shoulder, walking me back to the main hall

"Sounds like a plan"

We ended up just walking around, playing any of the games that actually looked fun including the strong man game that they had set up in the gym.

"Hold this" he hands me his churro as he starts rolling up his sleeve

"Ray..its okay.." i laugh after him

"Nah this shit is rigged and imma get you that teddy bear" he says as i laugh.

This is his third time coming back to this game.. barely anyone has hit the bell yet.

"Ray.." i say, laughing before he comes back with a lighter hammer

"No look-heres my idea-okay? Ive been using the heaviest hammer thinking it would propel the bell higher..but i could never put my full force into the swing cause its so heavy..but..." he starts winding up "if i use a lighter hammer.." he says before slamming it down on the metal plate.

The little ball shoots all the way up to the bell and dings before playing a little tune and lighting up as my eyes widen in bewilderment

"Oh my god!" I say and he honestly looks just as shocked as me, putting the hammer down and pulling me in for a hug me as i run into him excitedly while still holding both our snacks
