Everyone in the courtroom watch in surprise and shock as the doors to the courtroom open and in walks Emily as she heads towards the witness stand to be sworn in by the belief as she places her hand on the bible.

"Do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you god?"

Emily looks at Sonny smiling at him before she turns back to the bailiff.

"I do."

Sonny looks right back at her smiling.

Emily returns the smile as she waits for the prosecutor to begin questioning her.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Quartermaine oh, I'm sorry. I mean Mrs. Corinthos. How long have you known your husband?"

The prosecutor asks Emily.

"I've known him since I was eleven years old when my adopted family took me in my husband and I met when he was a close to my late brother Jason Morgan. The two were the best friends for a very long time."

Emily replies back to the prosecutor.

"That hasn't always been true has it, Mrs. Corinthos?"

Emily gives him a raised eyebrow.

"I'm sorry I have no idea what your talking about."

"Answer the question, Mrs. Corinthos."

The prosecutor looks at her before he looks at the judge.

"There had been a few times where my late brother and my husband hadn't always been on the same page."

Emily replies back to the prosecutor while not taking her eyes off of Sonny.

The prosecutor nods his head.

"Is it true that your late brother demanded that you and your husband end your relationship or he'd be forced to take away his business?"

Emily looks at Sonny as she tries her best to stay calm while taking a couple of deep breaths before she replies back.

"Yes, that's correct. Jason did demand that Sonny and I end our relationship but we refused and in return my late brother took my husband's business away from him. The only way my husband would get it all back is if he ended our relationship."

The prosecutor nods his head.

"What happened next?"

Emily takes a deep breath before she replies back.

"My husband refused to end our relationship and that caused them to lose their long time friendship and brotherhood that they had always shared with one another."

The prosecutor nods his head.

"Would you say that they were now enemies?"

Emily looks at the prosecutor and then over to Sonny before she replies back.

"Yes, from that moment on my husband and brother had went from being the best of friends to each other's worst enemies all because I chose to fall in love with the man who gave me everything that I could have ever dreamed of in a life partner and my brother couldn't see me as nothing but his little sister and all he could seem to see was that my husband would eventually end up hurting me."

The prosecutor looks at her.

"What do you mean by that, Mrs. Corinthos?"

Emily takes a deep breath before she replies back.

"My brother was afraid for my safety and well being because my husband has a medical condition."

The prosecutor nods his head.

"What do you mean your husband has a medical condition?"

Emily takes another deep breath before she replies back.

"My husband is bipolar."

Everyone in the courtroom gasps and starts whispering. The judge tries to get the court room under control.

"ORDER! I'll have order in this courtroom or I will call a recess until tomorrow morning!"

Everyone looks around the courtroom before they all take their seats.

"You may continue, Mrs. Corinthos."

Emily nods her head towards the judge.

"Thank you, your honor. Uh..... can the prosecutor please repeat the question."

The Judge looks over at the prosecutor.

"Mrs. Corinthos, what do you mean your husband has a medical condition?"

Emily looks over at Sonny smiling at him.

"My husband has a medical condition called bipolar disorder also known as manic depression. It can be controlled with medication and therapy."
