I take my pen and fill the page.
With it, I struck the world with grace.
When I write, I'm freer than a bird in a cage.
My words are my voice and the world is my stage.
My parents raised me to love and fear God.
My sister lovingly gave me hope and trust.
My friends taught me what it means to grow up.
My loved ones showed me what it means to be strong.
And lastly, you lit my world like the sun.
You filled my lonely nights with songs.
I love you and promise to fight for us.
When the time is right, you and I will soon be one.
