Making your way through the city was proven to be a challenge for you without Ellie by your side. The silence was overwhelming, traveling felt longer, and all you could think about was how hurt she looked when she found out about you being involved in Joels death.
"Dammit." you whispered, tears trailing down your cheeks as they masked with the rain drops pouring from the dark clouds above.
You were still determined to find Alex and Christen, to save them from Abby's grasp, to take them to a safe place, a place you could all call home.
Clearing your throat and straightening your posture, you fix your jacket and make your way further down the street, pistol armed and ready if any nearby enemies were to attack.
"I can see the Ferris wheel from here, which means the aquarium is a few blocks ahead."
Looking towards the Ferris wheel you grin ever so slightly, memories of you, Alex and Christen hanging out atop the large wheel flooding your mind.
"I'm getting you two back..and I'll do what ever it takes."

With pouring rain and thrashing waves, you stand at the end of the oceans dock. Across from you rests the aquarium where you know Abby holds Alex and Christen.
Looking from the aggressive waves below, to the aquarium above, you take a deep breath. The current was strong, however, with a few good strokes you'd make it to the other side with ease.
Taking a deep breath and tightening your grip on your weapons, you jump into the water. Instantly you feel ice cold water cover your skin, you wince at the coldness but continue to move on none-the-less.
Pushing through the cold you finally make it to the other side. Thunder roars, lightening strikes, and your clothes are soaking wet but as you level your body with the concrete below you, you stand and make your way around the building.
All the doors seem to be locked, but since you have personally visited this aquarium many times before, you know a way to get in; your secret passage.
When you finally make it to the entrance, you tug away the tarp and step into the building through the opening.
Once inside you put the tarp back over the opening then step further inside. The building's power is still on, however, the lights are too dim for you to see on your own. Sighing and sniffling slightly you turn your flashlight on and make your way further into the building, pistol armed and ready for protection.
Nothing seemed to be off. Silence filled the building, the only sound being the pouring rain against the ceiling above and your footsteps.
"They've gotta be somewhere upstairs. If Abby's as smart as she seems to be, she'll keep them somewhere where she can keep an eye on them."
Sighing you start making your way to the staircase. The silence is deafening and the rain fills your ears like static, however, in the midst of silence and pouring rain, you pick up what seems to be growling.
Furrowing your brow you take a detour from the staircase and towards the direction of the growling, making sure your footsteps are as silent as ever.
