"meet your mom?" amelia smiled, "of course i do. but next week?"
"yeah definitely," he smiled
"sorry, i've been so stressed this week." she said
"it's okay amelia. i get it," eli told her
The two went into the 7-11 to get themselves some snacks and slushees.
"can we also get that smirnoff? raspberry please," amelia smiled
"ID?" the worker asked and amelia got it out
"whatever," the guy told her as if he didn't believe her.
Amelia paid and went out with Eli, "have you ever drank before?" she smiled
"n-no" he told her truthfully
"do you want to? you don't have too-" she smiled
"s-sure," he said
"okay," she smiled and opened the door to her house.
"the id worked." amelia texted her brother
"the fuck did you buy?" robby quickly replied
"smirnoff 😩 raspberry"
" basic 🙄" he replied back
"yeah yeah whatever asshole, i miss u lots. you have a lot to catch up on."
"i'll be there tomorrow night."
She smiled; finally got to see her brother and hug him and bully him and just mess with him.
"well eli, pick a movie." she told him as she opened two drinks.
Eli nodded and picked a movie he knew they would both love. The amazing spider-man
She sat down next to eli, how crazy was it. The shy guy and the party girl dating.
She smiled at him and kissed his cheek, "okay here," she handed him the drink.
"thanks," he smiled and looked at it and drank a sip and made a face of disgust making amelia giggle.
"it's okay if you don't like it." she smiled and drank some of hers and ate some of the chips
"amelia," eli said
"yes eli?"
"thanks." he told her
"what for?" she asked confused
"well for being my girlfriend. and boosting my confidence more. and gettibg me out there, i've never felt this confident," he told her
"baby, you gained the confidence yourself. you just needed a little push." she smiled, "and you were perfect since the first day i met you," she looked up to him as she was sitting on the floor.
He smiled and went down to kiss her lips.
"do you have to go home soon?" amelia asked the boy who looked at his phone.
"two more hours," he smiled
"oh okay," she smiled and sat next to him to cuddle with him.
Eli had finished his first alcoholic drink and was proud of himself. Another thing off his bucket list. It felt like he was doing a lot of things out of his bucket list lately.
"let's take a picture!" amelia smiled and took one with eli. "can i post it?" she asked and he nodded

"four house down actually," he told her
"oh- wow we are really close then," she smiled
"yeah," he smiled at her
"i'm gonna go use the restroom," she smiled and went to the restroom.
Eli saw that miguel kept texting her, more like spamming her. find your own girl was all he thought.
When amelia came back eli was gone.
" hey are you okay?" she textes but got no response.
Eli was at home thinking what can he do to be better.
The next day was saturday, they had practice again. Miguel and Amelia were already at the dojo waiting for everyone.
When people starting coming i. Johnny was looking around disappointed that some had quit.
"Lip. Look. Even Lip's tougher than those guys." Johnny said, "He's no quitter."
"Could you please not call me that?" eli asked
"Excuse me, what?"
"I said, could you please not call me that."
"Um, I'll warm 'em up, Sensei" aisha said
"No, no, no. Lip has something he wants to say. Sorry, speak up, Lip. Or is your tongue messed-up too? Are you one of those challenged kids?"
"Um, the doctor said I could be on the spectrum." eli said shyly
"I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto. All right? If you don't want me to call you Lip, then don't have a weird lip. Can't you get surgery for that?"
"I was born with a cleft lip. This is the scar from the surgery" eli informed
"You mean it was worse before that? Or did the doctor just screw up? Because if this is the after photo, that sucks, man. You should sue." johnny added
"johnny stop!" amelia told him
"can we please change the subject," eli svared of him asked
"You don't think I want to? It's tough when it's right in front of me. If you want to be something other than a nerd with a scar on his lip, then you gotta flip the script. Okay? Get a face tattoo. Or gauge your eye out." johnny said continuing to say hurtful words to the kid.
"No, don't do that one. You'll still look like a freak." johnny said making eli run off
"fucking asshole." amelia flipped johnny off before going after eli.
"eli wait up!" amelia yelled making eli look back at her. "i'm sorry," she said catching up to him.
"it's not your fault amelia. your dad is right. i'll always be the kid with the freaky lip." he told her
"eli don't listen to him. you're perfect the way you are. your scar is badass. and he's just mad he isn't as badass as you, he puts people down to make himself feel better." she told him hugging eli, "here let's go do something!" she smiled at eli and took him to the mall.
