Two hours later, (F/N)'s back was facing me and I was rubbing circles into her skin, lightly. The scars there were fresh and I didn't want to irritate them, more than I already had. Leaning over, I pressed a soft to kiss the side of her neck and she hummed, leaning back into me. She reached back, cupping the back of my head, and brought my mouth to hers, kissing me softly.

Kissing back, I leaned forward and ran my hand down her side, caressing her bare skin. Without breaking the kiss, (F/N) turned towards me and sat up, slightly. Following her, I moved my hand to the side of her face and pulled away, hesitantly.

"You okay?" I asked, lips still touching and (F/N) laughed, replying,

"Don't get cocky, Jethro." Smiling, I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her flush against me, teasing,

"That isn't what you were saying ten minutes ago."

"Shut up!" She replied, slapping my chest and moving to pull away, failing to break my grasp. Pulling her closer, I chuckled and ran my hand down the curve of her back, ending on her ass. Squeezing, she yelped and her face turned red, as she fussed,

"Stop that, Jethro!" Chuckling, I kissed her softly and pulled away, going to sit up.

"Where are you going?"

"Leon said he's coming after he gets off. If we don't want to be caught with our pants down, we should get dressed. Seeing as half of our clothes are in the living room."

"Oh, shush. Yeah, let's get dressed."

She got up and I watched her collect her clothes, getting dressed. Then it hit me,

"You've been milking that injury!" I accused, making her smile and shrug, as she replied,

"I enjoy having your attention. It's not healed. Not for another two to four weeks. But I can put a little weight on it."

Rolling my eyes, I pulled on my boxers and then my jeans, going to look for my shirt. (F/N) was scrounging around for her clothes, getting more frustrated and by the time I she found her underwear and her shorts, there was a knock at the door. Looking through the peephole, I opened the door and Leon chuckled, asking,

"Did I interrupt something?"

"No, Jethro just broke the buttons of my shirt." (F/N) called back, huffing and making Leon shake his head, replying,

"I'm not surprised." When (F/N) came back into the room, wearing my t-shirt and I raised a brow, asking a silent question.

"Don't pop the buttons on my shirt next time, I won't steal your clothes." Chuckling, I went grab another shirt and Leon went sit with (F/N) in the living room. When I came back they were talking and I heard Leon tease,

"That's quite the mark there...Jethro."

"Well, what can I say? I couldn't help myself." I replied, going sit next to (F/N) and resting my arm over the cushion of her couch, as Leon looked us over.

"You both work well together. About damn time if you ask me." (F/N) chuckled and leaned into my side, hand resting on my thigh.

We sat and talked until dinner, ordering take out. When Leon left, he promised to bring Kayla and Jared the next time he visited.

Again, the next two weeks were essentially the same. (F/N) and myself living together, people checking on her. Us going visit the team at the Navy Yard and going out for lunch with the team.

Today, we were at the hospital to get (F/N)'s ankle checked out and she was hoping to get her cast off, excited to go back to work. When her doctor came in with her scans, (F/N) was ready and her doctor started,

"Okay, Agent (Last Name), you're on track to get that cast off today. You'll still need a boot for about four more weeks, but no more crutches. You don't need to keep it on to sleep, just when you're walking. Also, you can go back to work. Desk duty, though. No field work. Understand?"

"Yes!"

Twenty minutes later, (F/N) and I were leaving the hospital, (F/N) was trying to get use to the boot. So, she was a little wobbly, but before she told me something before we left, something that is still bouncing around in my head,

"Don't look so worried, Jethro. I'm not. I have you here."

On the way home, (F/N) was excited about going back to work and she wasn't shy about letting me know exactly how excited. I was just happy that she trusted me that much, especially after everything she had been through.

Upon getting home, it was dark and when we came through the door, there was a loud and warm welcome,

"Surprise!" When the lights came on, the entire team was there, Leon, and some friends of ours that could make it. (F/N) looked at me and I chuckled, starting,

"Don't look at me. I couldn't have gotten all these people here." Leon gave (F/N) a hug and finished,

"I wanted to celebrate how far you've come. Everyone was happy to help and be here. Those who could be here, at least."

"Thank you, Leon." (F/N) replied, tears coming to her eyes and Leon chuckled, walking with her around the room. (F/N), being the more social one, was enjoying herself. She was happy to have all of her friends here. Me, on the other hand, I was ready to sit and have a quiet evening with (F/N), but I couldn't take this from her.

"Oh. Don't look so sad, Jethro." Tobias' voice caught my attention, making me chuckle and reply,

"I'm not sad. This is just more people than I've been around for almost two months."

"Enjoying having her to yourself?"

"You could say that."

"Heh. I'm just glad she's okay. Because you'd have had my head."

"You're right I would have."

(F/N) looked over her shoulder at me and smiled, making me realize how close she came. I hadn't thought about it because I didn't want to. However, seeing her now. I was relieved and extremely happy.
