This Is Me

This could be for the girls
This could be for the guys
But whoever is reading this
Just look at my message through your eyes

My name is Nyssa
Yes my name may be unknown
Who cares anyway?
Cause I know that it's my own

I may be quiet
Not having a thousand words
As long as somebody is listening
They'll get what I'll say first

I feel very comfortable with what I wear
Which is jean pants and a cute tee
I try to not look like other females
Who wears stuff all fancy

I'm not really famous
Deep down I know I shine
God made me who I am
So I'm wonderfully designed

Maybe I can't sing well
Or shake my butt
It's cool with me though
Cause I know how to strut my stuff

Never appeared as fake towards any man
I tell them how I feel
Not to be cocky
I like to keep it real

Recognizing that I'm not perfect
Some people have left my side
There were those who told truths
And those who had lied

Instead of being someone I'm not
I'll be myself and that goes far
My body isn't too great
I have different types of scars

However I love the person I've become
Lived by deceit now I'm set free
When I look in the mirror
I tell her this is me
