I spent the night alone in bed. Despite his earlier jealous fuelled kidnapping of me, Harry had left as soon as he'd made sure I was in his room alone. When morning came I showered, dressed and was forced by Daniel once again to except food, a cream cheese bagel and a coffee before I insisted I could walk to get my bike. Daniel didn't take any notice and grabbed his keys before we headed out the door. Graciously I slipped into the passenger seat as he revved the engine and drove in silence to the globe.
Climbing out of the car I gave a brief "thank you," before heading for my bike where I finished my coffee leaning on the bike.
"Hey kiddo," I nearly jumped out of my skin as Puck came up behind me. Spinning round I shot him a dirty look as he raised his hands in defence. "Calm yourself just wanted to say a good morning and check things were okay."
Walking over to the bin by my bike to dump the coffee cup and bagel wrapper and sighed. "Puck I'm fine," I dug in my pocket for my keys.
"Fine? Really? You are telling me that last night, doing what he said despite obviously reeking of another woman was fine?" He crossed his arms and leaned on the bike, completely right about Harry stinking of another woman. "You don't have to be with him."
"I do, he's my mate and that's how it works" I bit my tongue. Harry was making me feel pathetic, like I didn't matter but here I was defending him. "Look wolves don't get second chances, we will work through it."
Puck stepped back from the bike "kiddo you are worth more than this and the fates could have a plan B somewhere for you."
"But they probably don't." I straddled the bike "look I get the looking out for me thing but I'm a big girl and should be able to to sort this out on my own." My phone buzzed, alerting me to a message. I pulled it out to see 'urgent come to base immediately' from Alistair.
"I'll see you around kid," Puck turned his back to me and started walking away.
"Puck thank you!" I called before getting back off the bike to retrieve my helmet from the storage compartment. I slipped it on and climbed back on the bike reviving a little before kicking off.
