He used all his power in an attempt to break through the ropes that held him captive, but with no success.
"Don't bother" the words came off as a distant whisper - raspy and tired.
He looked up and noticed a girl on the other end of the room, bound in the same ropes. She was sat in the darkness and he could just barely catch her bruised body and bloodied wrists.
