Zoya was not kind, which was why you were surprised when she didn't yell or at least sneer when you bumped into her.
You kept your head down. "I'm sorry General Nazyalensky, I just had to get to the Anatomy Room because they needed a Tailor and... General Nazyalensky?"
Zoya had frozen, back straight, mouth agape, eyes wide.
"I know you." she whispered. "I saw you at the Spinning Wheel, you- you died."
You scrunched your face in confusion. "I... joined the Grisha after the war. I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
Zoya shook her head, a look of pain on her face. "No, you're (Y/n) (L/n). You came to the Little Palace when you were four, hidden by Bahgra, and you were killed by the nichevo'ya a year ago. You... don't know?"
By now you were worried for your general. "I'm sorry General Nazyalensky, but I have to go."
