They went to a meeting the next day and Louis watched Harry in action. He had wondered before if anyone would take him serious with that long hair. It really suited him, he looked gorgeous, but others in his position would have a neat haircut. He didn't have to worry about that. Harry charmed everyone with his dimpled smile and he was nice to everyone. He shook everybody's hand, no matter what their work title said and he treated everyone equally. He greeted the black men in Zulu and the white men in Afrikaans. Louis was impressed.

He had been thinking a lot about last night. Harry hadn't tried to grope him or kiss him or asked him to mate him. He hadn't tried to force himself on him. Heck, he hadn't even called last night a date. Every other boss had got a complaint about sexual harassment by now but Harry was a different Alpha. He was genuinely nice and well-behaved. He liked him! But that was something he would keep to himself.

After a busy day starting up the new project they ate a late dinner at a Greek restaurant just a stone's throw from the hotel. It wasn't fancy or anything but the food was tasteful. The conversation flooded easily and afterward, Harry followed Louis to his room and said good night like a true gentleman. Louis fell asleep right away, exhausted from all the impressions the day had given him.

They spent the next three days in meetings. Harry oversaw everything. He looked at the sketches is the houses they were building and made some adjustments. They went out to the lumber yard and he fixed a great deal and had the lumber shipped to the land plot. He made sure there was a trailer in place for the workers and he even went grocery shopping so they could make lunch. Louis wouldn't be surprised if Harry ended up cooking it as well.

On day four the workers started laying the foundation and they were there in the morning making sure that everything went smoothly. Harry seemed pleased with the result.
"Come on, it will take hours to dry. Let's go on a shopping spree."

"Really? That would be awesome!" Louis beamed.

They got in the car and Harry took him to the Cape Quarter. Louis had a smile on his lips the whole time as they walked around in stores, looking at exclusive clothes and local souvenirs. He bought tree carvings of the big five, an elephant, a buffalo, a lion, a leopard, and a rhino, to remember this trip by.

They found some clothes as well and decided to eat lunch at a falafel place before they headed back to the construction site. Louis found a table and sat down while Harry went to get them food. He had merely taken a seat before a man approached him, and Alpha judging by the smell.
"Hi, lovely." The Alpha cooed.

"I'm not interested." Louis answered dismissively which only pissed off the Alpha.

He grabbed Louis's arm but they were interrupted by Harry's deep voice.
"I would very much like you to take your hand off him. He's here with me." He might have sounded polite but there was a dark edge to his voice.

The Alpha smirked.
"Or else? He's unclaimed."

"Or else I'll fucking kill you. Step away." Harry growled.

The Alpha seemed to consider if he could take him down but he let go and took a step back.
"You should mate him so no one else makes the same mistake." With that, he walked away.

Harry didn't take his eyes off the Alpha until he was gone. Then he turned his eyes at Louis instead.
"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, uhm, thanks." Louis answered with a shaky voice.

"I will never understand why Alphas have to act like that." Harry sighed.

"Sure Mr. I'll fucking kill you." Louis smirked.

"Hey! I would never! But he didn't have to know that. I didn't get to order for us. Wanna come with me?" Harry asked, eyeing him in concern.

"I'm okay here." Louis replied, trying to act cool.

Harry sighed but he didn't argue against it. He could easily have used his Alpha voice and made him obey but Louis was pretty sure that Harry never used that. Instead, he went to get them food, leaving Louis behind. He sat put looking around nervously. Why did he have to be so stubborn? He could have easily joined Harry instead of sitting here by himself feeling exposed. But he refused to be a scared Omega all the time. He couldn't live like that. But when Harry returned with food he let out a breath of relief. Having Harry around made him feel safe. An Alpha had never managed to make him feel like that before. What was this? Some fucking witchcraft?

They hurried to eat so they could go back to the construction site. When they returned the concrete foundation was laid and Harry complimented everyone for a good day's work. They had to wait for the concrete to dry so he sent everyone home with the promise that they would get a full day pay anyway.

With that, they had time for a little sightseeing as well. They took a cable car up to the table mountain and the view was spectacular. They continued to the Cape of Good hope as well before they returned to the hotel for a late dinner at the same Greek restaurant they ate at once before.

Harry followed him to his door and said good night and Louis went to bed feeling happy about the day. He had an amazing time in Harry's company and he was so grateful that the Alpha took time off his busy schedule to go shopping and sightseeing, knowing it was his first time outside England.

He was having the time of his life. He loved his job and that he got to be a part of helping homeless children. He couldn't think of a greater cause. He had always loved kids from a young age. Probably because he grew up with a lot of younger siblings. He got to see new exciting places as well. South Africa was a dream come true. And then there was Harry. The Alpha was growing on him. Too bad he was his boss. There was no way he was jeopardizing his dream job for a sleazy fling with his boss.
