Things of MY Nightmares

I have no idea what this style is called or where it came from and I wouldn't even know where to begin giving an example of how it's done. Not that I would because they creep me out. I don't know why it's so popular because to me all I see is plastic people. This is my opinion, I know a lot people enjoy this style, but it simply isn't for me. I think I've seen too many horror movies with evil characters in this style to vibe with it lol.

This style makes people look like plastic, soulless nightmares. The eyes are horrifying. No one looks like that unless you're a doll in a creepy house that's possessed by a demon waiting to attack someone. Maybe a soulless demonic clown? I don't know but it's scary to me.

Sorry, but that's my opinion. I can't get on board with this style, it's too weird for me. I can only hope this is a short-lived trend that disappears quickly.

All I can think is that the guy looks like the Chucky doll. The chick's eyes are empty, they look like vacant glass windows.

I mean zero disrespect to people who enjoy this style, but it does creep me out and I can't get into it. But art is different for everyone.

I do have to say, I have never seen a published book in a style similar to this, maybe someone else has and can guide me to it as an example, but I never have and I've been an author since 2009 and worked with a lot of authors, both self published and traditionally published.
