Liam and Zayn ran into the house, Zayn hold Liam's hand tightly in his while looking around

Liam pulled his hand away and Zayn quickly turned towards him

"Zayn, its better we split"

"Liam are you-"

"Zayn. I'm an auror, I need you to trust me"

Zayn looked at Liam and fearfully nodded, he reluctantly turned the other way and they ran in separate ways, Zayn cursed a few wizards on his way to find his parents and even used the unforgivable curse to kill some of them

He managed to find his parents after about 15 minutes and they hugged him tightly

"Oh god Zayn!"

"Are you both ok?"

They both nodded and hug mum hugged him tighter "You both need to Apparate out of here, I need to find Li-"

"CRUCIO"

Zayn tensed before he heard screaming, he ran out of the room and where he heard the screams. He stopped at the door seeing Liam using the curse on someone

"Y-you never used this curse before. Did you?" Zayn saw blood covering Liam's fist and his hand and from where he was standing, his face too "Let see you feel about him getting hurt"

He turned to Zayn and Liam panicked

"SECTUMSEMPRA"

Just like that, the man fell to his knees getting cuts everywhere, Liam looked at his slowly bleeding figure on the floor and his eyes were filled with terror.

"Liam-"

The spell stopped and Liam looked at his hands before he looked at Zayn, Zayn rushed to him and cradled his head

"I-I..."

"It's ok..."

I never killed anyone before..."

"He's not dead, just badly wounded"

People from the ministry came and took them, Zayn had an arm around Liam's waist and held him closely.

"You almost killed me, but killed a dark wizard hurt you?" Zayn joked with a small grin

"The poison wouldn't kill you... it would hurt you, but not kill you" Liam whispered still looking at his bloody hands

Zayn sighed and nodded, he pulled Liam closer and held him closely

"Your parents... Are they ok?"

"Yeah, they're at our house"Liam nodded

Kingsley Shacklebolt -The minister for magic- walked over to the two and nodded "They will all be sent to azkaban, as for the dead ones they'll be buried behind Azkaban"

Liam nodded and Zayn just stood there running his fingers through Liam's hair, absent-mindedly

"You both did well... you don't have to come in tomorrow, I'm sure you're both tired as it's 1am"

Liam's eyebrows shot up, he looked at his watch and sighed, they came here around 9pm, now it's 1am. They rounded all of them up and until the ministry arrived they needed to stay

Liam snuggled into Zayn's chest when Zayn pulled him closer

"We need to go to Saint mungo's" he turned to the minister "Can we?"

He nodded and they apparated to their house

They went into separate rooms and Zayn came out 30 minutes later with stitches on his cheek and his nose fixed, Liam came out 5 minutes after Zayn. All the blood on his face had been wiped, his knuckles and one of his ankles were wrapped and he looked exhausted

Zayn walked over to him and held him standing up straight "Tired?"

Liam nodded "a bit... hungry too"

Zayn chuckled "I bought a box of your Nutella biscuit bars"

Liam laughed "savior..."

"You have a limp"

Liam sighed and nodded "I do..."

Zayn frowned then smiled and kissed the area between Liam's neck and Liam's shoulder

Making Liam burst out laughing

"I made you laugh"

Liam smiled and nodded "you did..."

I didn't know you still cared

"Cmon" Zayn said picking Liam up making him shriek "Light as a fucking feather, do you eat nothing?"

"Mum made me go on a special diet before the wedding..."

"Well... no more diet"

Zayn said before he apparated out of saint mongos and go their house, As soon as they were there, Zayn put a blushing Liam down.

"Ok?"

Liam nodded "Ok..."

Zayn's parents came running to them and hugged both tightly.

"You both are ok! We were so worried" Liam nodded giving them a small smile

"We are so sorry for the call, it's just that we didn't know what to do, there were hundreds of them!"

Zayn sighed "It's fine. You both know where the guest bedrooms are" They nodded and Zayn nodded "C'mon Liam"

Zayn's parents watched him help Liam up the stairs carefully, he was gentle, careful, and a small smile on his face every time he whispered something into Liam's ear that made him laugh

"We made a good Decision" Zayn's father said turning to his wife

She smiled and nodded "we did"

Liam was eating a Nutella biscuit bar while Zayn held his hand, Zayn just sat there not complaining

"I'll change the wrap tomorrow morning"

"You don't have to..."

"I want to. Now sleep"

"Zayn..."

"Yeah?"

"Can you stay... just until I sleep?"

Zayn sat on the floor beside Liam "what's scaring you?"

Liam gulped "j-just when I made him bleed... I remembered the war-"

Zayn's shoulders fell "it scarred you a lot... didn't it?"

Liam nodded slowly looking down at his wrapped hands "I know I sound pathetic but-"

"I'll stay"

"Really?" Zayn nodded and Liam held his hand

They quietly laid there before Liam whispered

"How do you do it?" Liam whispered

"How do I do what?" Zayn said rubbing Liam's temple

"Not.... Not remembering the war, not caring. Not worry"

Zayn's hand went still, Liam looked at him bit down on his bottom lip when he saw Zayn still looking at him

"Because...." He said then sighed and looked at Liam's hand "Everyone I care about is still here"

And if in the morning did Zayn's parents see Zayn sleeping with his head on the bed beside Liam's

They won't speak a word of it to any one
