A/N: trans John for the sake of it
Alex POV:
I was getting ready for my meeting out of town. John said I could go but deep down I knew he would be sad I'm gone. Luckily it's only a week.
John was still asleep when I got up. I showered, changed my clothes, grabbed my laptop and went downstairs to eat a bagel or something.
I went into the kitchen and saw John's computer open and a USB with a sticky note reading:
" Play this before you go :) ♡ "
So I did. I plugged the USB into the computer and hit play.
I saw John's face.
"Hey Alex, I wanted to sing you this before you left but I'm probably sleeping as you're watching this so here's the recording." He said.
Then, he started singing. He was singing a Taylor Swift song called Wildest Dreams. It fit perfectly and he hit Every. Single. Note. Perfectly.
"Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress staring at the Sunset babe. Red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again even if it's just in your wildest dreams~"
I watched the video, admiring my fiancé's beautiful voice.
How he could sing like that? I'll never know. All I know is that I sound like a dying cow.
As the song finished, I saved it and sent it to my phone. I wanted to be able to hear him singing while I was away. It's like having a little piece of him with me at all times. Of course, we would call/Facetime everyday but I doubt he would sing for me over facetime.
My gosh, I love this man.
He was enough.
