Narrator POV:
Alex sat in his wife's hospital room, starring at his newborn son in the bassinet next to hid wife's bed. His son had been in the NICU for 2 weeks and Eliza was in critical condition too. So, in times like this, the only thing he could do was write.
Eventually, he realized his writings connected and sounded good in different stanzas. So he wrote a song. Lucky for him, he had his trusty guitar to help.
He picked up his guitar and gently rocked the bassinet as he got set up. "Hi baby boy.. I know you won't understand this but I wrote a song for you and your momma. I hope you like it." Alex said and started playing.

He looked up from the floor when he heard a few claps. One was the nurse and the other was Eliza. "Oh my god- you're awake!" Alex smiled and rushed to her side, kissing her gently.
Eliza weakly smiled. "That was a lovely song, baby." She whispered and held his hand. Alex smiled, tears brimming in his eyes. "I'm so glad you're still alive. For me, and Pip." He whispered back, kissing her again for their happily ever after.
