Poverty and Pride
Clashing side by side
Picture perfect
Life on outside
Gnawing hunger
Watered down by water.
Words come to mind
in the form of retaliation
But is stopped
By air like pride and honour
Before it's uttered.
Studying, the only way out
for Poverty born
People with self-respect.
