A year later
After working for the last year and half Katie finally finished her first book. It was a British romance novel. She loved all British romance novels. She spent a summer with Peggy in London right before her freshmen year of college.
She was putting it all in a envelope when Bucky came in with Alexis on his hip.
"You're done?" He said
"I'm done now to see if my publisher is going to like it." She said as she closed it up and took it to the mail box.
Two weeks later through a virtual meeting she met with her publisher Vivian Michaels.
"Mrs Barnes..we loved it. It was the right mix of everything we talked about when you sent in your first draft. So it's going to publication." Vivian said
"Are you serious?" Katie said
"Yes ma'am I'm serious. We will be discussing a lot in the coming weeks. So go celebrate with your family." Vivian said
"Yes thank you thank you." Katie said and ended the call.
"James! James!" She screamed as she ran out of her office.
Bucky came running out of the playroom. "Baby?" He said confused
"It's going to publication!" She said as she jumped up and down.
He smiled so big as he picked her up and she wrapped her legs.
"I'm so proud of you baby. You did it!" He said as he kissed her.

1 month later
"The British Craze just got amped up even more. Up and coming author Katherine Barnes just had everyone add British romance novels back to women's shelves. The Duke & Me just became a best seller over night in the 1 month of its release." Robin Roberts from GMA said
"And would it surprise you that Mrs Katherine Barnes isn't even from London she has a sister in law that's from London. Not only that but she is a mother of three young children and her husband is currently overseas cause he serves in the military. Mrs Katherine Barnes is here with us virtually from Fort Buchanan Puerto Rico. Can you hear us Katherine?" Michael said
Katie appeared on the screen. "Yes I can hear you Michael." She said
"Great, what brought this type of novel?" Robin said
"I've always been a big fan of books. Especially ones with rich character development and a good plot. But I loved Mr Darcy and The Great Gatsby and all those types of novels too. And when I graduated and I sat down at my laptop. I thought what if I wrote British novels. I called up my sister in law and she was more than willing to help." She said
"You probably didn't think it was going to be like this? I mean you hoped but.." Michael said
"Yes I had hoped but I also had to remind myself this was my first book and not many people are an over night success. It's been a lot of fun." Katie said
"Well hopefully next time we can meet you in person. Tell your husband we all here at GMA thank him for his service." Robin said
"Thank you all and I hope so too." Katie said and she ended the virtual meeting.
She took off her imaginary author hat and put her mom hat back. "Thank you Cheyenne." She said as she made sippy cups.
It had only been three days since the boys left. They had to leave on a year long deployment.
