Silence. Tho whole stadium was quiet for one minute. Probably even more. The amount of smoke was so unbelievable much! I removed the shirt from my mouth and searched around for my partner, my best friend. I saw him as the smoke and dust started to fade away. He was still standing. On four paws. I couldn't help but smile. I ran up to him and knelt down. The yellow mouse sprung into my arms. I pulled him close to me. I peeked open one eye. Blastoise was still standing tall. I kept staring. The longer I stared the more visible Blastoise was. He was still paralyzed, it didn't look very healthy tho, as if he was about to crash any moment. I took a deep breath and stood up. Pikachu jumped down again and took its position. The smoke faded away. My childhood friend, rival and league champion, was staring at me. He grabbed a pokéball out of his pocket and grinned the same way he used to when they both set off their journey.

''We got a new league champion, it seems...''

Quiet...

It was unusually quiet.

I was looking out the window.

If only these windows where bigger... I sighed, but smiled. I was almost home... Yes, home. Back to the place where I grew up. Through the years I managed to own an own house. Not that I was there much, cause I still wanted to travel, meet new friends and catch new pokémon! I took off my pet, and patted Pikachu's head. I missed her... I was missing her the whole year... But tonight... She would be there. She promised to come and congratulate me. I grabbed my pokédex. I kept a picture of her close to the screen. I stroked the paper at the place her honey-blonde hair was. Pikachu poked me with my tail, and jumped to the window. Kanto! We were actually here! Its been so long... Just... Waw... Kanto has changed so much since the last time I've been here. The cycling road has become more firm, with lots of beautiful lights. A few Spearows where resting on it, the lights made it easier to see. I grinned and rested my head against the soft chair pillow now it still could.

I am Ash Ketchum.

I am 17 years old.

I was born in Kanto.

I was raised in Pallet town.

I received my first pokémon when I was 10.

I have traveled the world.

I met many great friends.

I caught many pokémon.

I have fallen in love.

I traveled around unknown continents with her.

I became strong.

I defeated my oldest and strongest rival.

I became league champion.

I have fulfilled my dream...

I am Ash Ketchum and I have fulfilled my dream!

I was proud. Not only on myself, also at my pokémon. And of course, mostly proud of Pikachu. I petted his head. It would be better to rest a little while. This time I re-traveled the Kanto region, on my own. I met old friends, such as Misty, Brock, Tracey, Jesse and James. I even met up with old legendary pokémon I once met/befriended, like Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia and Meloetta. Yet the feeling of meeting up with them after a couple years is nothing compared to seeing my girlfriend again... My stomach started to feel fuzzy. We were landing, great! I took another deep breath and softly nudged Pikachu. Slowly, the airplane had landed. I stretched out my body as Pikachu jumped on my shoulder. I waited until everyone else got up and had walked out of the door. I followed slowly and put back on my backpack. I was ready. My lips showed a big grin. I ran out of the plane and jumped on the ground. I took a deep breath. Finally, back in Kanto again! Two arms where being wrapped around me, but it weren't the arms of whom I expected it to be. I was happy tho. I smiled, let out a sigh and hugged my mum closely.

''Welcome back Ash! Its been so long! I saw your performance on TV last night, everyone saw it! We couldn't be more proud of you!'' She cheered proudly.

I smiled and let her go. I looked around. No sight of her. I couldn't help but let out a disappointing sigh. I really wished she'd be here at the airport to wait for me. Yet... She wasn't.

''Thanks... Mom!" I grinned and pulled out of the hug.

She was even tearing up a bit, eyes shining full of pride.

After awhile we came home. I ran into the kitchen. The scent of poképuffs filled my nostrils immediately. I dropped my bags immediately. There she was. She was putting a plate in the oven, but turned around immediately when she heard me dropping my bags. Her hair was long again, her eyes where shining like diamonds and her face was flushing red. I didn't stop. I took a small jump and grabbed her shoulders, pulling her into a deep kiss. I missed the taste of her soft lips. She broke the kiss. Her eyes were watery from happiness. I held her in my arms and closed my eyes. I put off my hat quickly. My dream was fulfilled a few days ago, and I found a new one. Serena was my new dream.
