"Who are you?' The girl who answered the door asked

"I'm Nahla. I'm here to see Mir" I told her "That's my boyfriend" I said and She scoffed looking me up and down

"Boyfriend? Girl bye. That's my nigga and we having a baby so go find yo own" She said closing the door in my face

"Boyfriend? Baby?" I said to myself so confused looking around.

I walked down the steps trying to find another way in since Mir wasn't answering my calls. Just as I reached the last step I got blinded by some headlights. I quickly turned my head trying not to look until I heard the car turn off and the lights went out.

"Nahla?" I heard Mir's voice

I looked up seeing him getting out the car staring at me like he seen a ghost which let me know that, that girl was definitely his and he was having a baby with her

"Why you look so surprised?" I asked walking over to him "I met yo girl" I pointed to the front door "Seems like a cool chick"I shrugged

"Nahla baby it's not like that" He said trying to grab my arm but I pulled away taking a step back

"Then what is it like Polo? Huh? You have a whole other female living with you and she said she's pregnant with your baby" I told him " How is it not like that? I was wondering why you wouldn't answer my calls"I laughed a bit shaking my head

"It wasn't suppose to happen like this Nahla. I promise you. I admit I cheated on you the first month out here and she got pregnant but it wasn't suppose to happen Nahla. I was high as fuck off them x pills. I didn't know what the fuck I was doing" He said walking over to me "I don't want her! I want you! I want you Nahla. I love you"

" No you don't bruh. Because if you really loved me you wouldn't have did this to me Polo! You lied to me. And then you cheated on me and got another bitch pregnant and expect me to stay because you love me? Fuck out of here bro" I shook my head not believing this shit

"Nahla I do love you. It was an accident. I swear. I'll kick her out"

I pulled away staring at him as tears fell down his face

"Nahla don't leave me" I heard him say as I walked away "Don't leave me" he cried out

I stopped walking turning to face him

"You left me first remember that"

I jumped out my sleep looking around seeing Mir sleeping peacefully next to me

"It was just a dream" I said to myself as I took a deep breath trying to stop my heart from racing. It felt so real but I'm just thankful that it was just a dream

"You good?" I heard Mir's voice

I looked over and seen that he was staring at me with a concerned look

"Yeah bad dream that's all" I smiled leaning over kissing him he deepen the kiss making me moan

He pulled away smirking causing me to blush. He pushed me down making me lay down as he got up hovering over me

"You so beautiful in the morning" He kissed me again "Ima miss you so much"

"How much?" I bit my lip

I hated that I was this attached to him because I hate the feeling of attachment but it was something that just happened.

I mean how can you not get attached to someone who you spent every single day with whether it was talking on the phone or being with them in person since you were 5 all the way until the age of 16?

After the shower I got ready as he showered. I could feel that he was sad too but we were both trying to avoid the feeling so we ignored it and acted like everything was okay.

"You got everything right?" I asked him as we stood in the middle of Ohare airport.

"Yeah I made sure of it" He looked at his phone "I got to go my flight leaves in 40" He looked at me "I love you Nahla okay?"

"I love you too Jamir" I smiled

"Don't ever forget it! We're going to make this shit work and once you out of school for the summer I'm flying you out there" He put his pinky out "Pinky swear" He said making me laugh

"Pinky swear" I agreed "Ima miss you so much but I know this is for the better"

He pulled me to him hugging me tight kissing the top of my head. I never thought my best friend would be leaving me

Pulling away he kissed me one last time before walking away towards the security check

I watched him disappear before walking back out where Tez was waiting for me

"You okay baby girl?" He asked

I shook my head feeling all the tears I held back falling. He pulled me to him hugging me

"Everything's going to be okay Lady bug. You'll be able to see him soon" He said moving my locs out of my face

I wanted to believe everyone when they said it was going to be okay. But something in me was telling me that it wasn't.
