A/N: This one is so short it shouldn't count as a chapter but I felt like you guys should get something so here it is :)
Varian rolled his eyes for what seemed like the hundredth time today. Eugene had gotten them lost. Again. Varian didn't trust Adira like Raps does but he trusted her in this forest and trusted in her ability to navigate the forest. And, trust him, that logic tracks. Eugene, however, did not know how to navigate this forest. By throwing all of them across the hot water chasm, they not only got lost again, Adira was left behind. Varian snapped out of his thoughts when Eugene fell through one of the land pits.
"Great. This is just absolutely perfect." Varian growled, nearing the end of his patients.
Don't worry, Varian, we will find them and get out of here. Rapunzel said confidently through their minds. He took a breath and he, Raps, Cass, Lance, Hook Foot, and Shorty started to crawl their way through the forest. They nearly died several times due to the missing map and guide. Well, everyone but Varian nearly died.
He just floated along behind them.
They all took a break in a small clearing, Lance and Hook Foot collapsing against the trees in exhaustion.
"How much farther?" Lance whined. Cass rolled her eyes.
"How should I know, Strongbow?" Lance smirked.
"You're just mad that Eugene isn't here to yell at." he said slyly.
"Nope. Because I can yell at you." Cass replied defiantly, her right hand, holding a sword, started to twitch. Rapunzel groaned and sat down in the middle of the clearing.
"Can you guys not fight, please?" she asked sweetly. Cass sighed and sheathed her sword. Lance just closed his eyes and shut up.

After what seemed like half an hour, they all got up and got ready to continue moving. As they began to walk, Cass stopped and perked up. Her hand flew to the sword and she pulled it out in one smooth motion. They all tensed and turned back towards the clearing.
One of the bushes was rustling ominously. Cass crept forward quietly, ready to cut down whatever came out of the bush.

A small chittering noise came from the bush.
Varian stepped forward.
And a small ball of black and grey leaped out and tackled Cass.
