Chapter 5: TW-su!c!de

We drove around and we sang our hearts out in the car.

We didn't know where we were going, but it was okay with us.

As long as we were together.

We parked the car in the parking lot of a random ice cream shop.

The sign read, "Plants and Glacé"
    
"You know, 'Glacé' is the french word for ice cream." Clementine expressed eagerly.

We both laughed and walked into the shop.

They had all different types on plants and all different types of ice cream flavors.

I looked up at Clementine who's face lit up while looking at all the plants and flavors.

I couldn't help but to just stare and smile.

    "What?" She asks as she figures out what flavor she wants. "Nothing. Nothing at all." I said with a grin.

    "Hello. I'm Nate. What can I get you two today?", A worker came out from the back room.

"Can I have Pineapple please? What do you want 'Dite? C'mon I'm paying."

"No it's ok I'll pay. Don't worry about it."

"Aphrodite Louise you paid for lunch so I'm paying for the ice cream." She said while raising an eyebrow.

"Raspberry. I'll take raspberry please?" She gave me a smirk.

Nate scooped our ice cream as we walked over to the cash register.

He handed our ice creams to us, we paid and left.

There was a beach right down the hill.

"Ooh the beach! Can we go?" Clementine asked.

She asked as if she's never seen one before.

I laughed and nodded.

She grinned and starting running.

"I'LL RACE YOU APHRODITE!!" She yelled as she stopped a few buildings down.

"WHAT DO I GET IF I WIN?"
  
  "WINNER GETS A KISS! LOSER HAS TO GO INTO THE WATER WITH THEIR CLOTHES ON!"
   
"SOUNDS LIKE A DEAL"
   
We start running and running.

She was the first to reach the sand.

"A deals a deal. Kiss me and then go to the water."

"You're very bossy you know."

"Yea I know."

We leaned in and kissed.

She sat down on the sand.

I ran towards the water fully clothed.

As I walked back to Clementine, I heard her laugh and laugh.

I shook myself causing her to get wet.

"So are you gonna tell me?"

" 'Dite it's not important."

"Clementine. I'm not gonna judge you. I'm not gonna leave. You can trust me" I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Okay. Okay. I was there in the other universe because I was in a coma... after trying to take my life.."

Tears filled her eyes.

Tears filled mine as well.

I hugged her.

I held her in my arms to make sure she felt safe.

"You're still wet love" She said as she wiped a tear and let out a little laugh.

We both just laughed and talked about life.

The sun starting to set

"Do you want to go home? You seem pretty tired and it's getting a bit late."

She shook her head.

Looking up at me with a small smile.

Reassuring me she was going to be okay.

And she simply said the five perfect words:

"Home isn't home without you."

I kissed her forehead and we smiled at each other.

Just watching the sunset and listening to the waves crash,

Today was perfect because I got to spend it with her,

And only her.

The sounds of the waves crashing sounded so lovely.

I stared at Clementine as she she stared at the sunset.

Her head laying on my lap.

I never wanted this moment to end.

She looked away from the setting sun and up at me.

"Hi" She chuckled.

"Hi" I replied with a smile.

She sat up and faced me.

"Aphrodite.. This is going to sound cheesy but,

When we first talked, I fell for your words.

When I first saw you, I fell for your beauty.

And I'm still falling for it,

But I fell for your soul even more.

I love you Aphrodite Louise."

I kissed her.

Without saying a single word,

She knew I loved her too.

I could tell by her smile,

I could tell by the way we looked at each other,

The way we laughed with each other,

The way we talked with each other,

The way we were perfect for each other,

That we were in love.
