Brooklyn wobbled past me, she's one today. I smiled as she made her way into our bed room with her little brown ponytails and a pink dress that said 'I'm one' on it. I watched as she continued to walk toward where her little crib is now a toddler bed, she looked up and raised her hands to the picture of Bucky, I miss him more and more every day, I raised my phone as I watched her stare up at the picture,
"Dada." She babbled, her first words, I felt this punch to my heart as I smiled and tears came to my eyes, I place the phone down to record us, I looked at Brooke and then back at the picture,
"Yeah that's Dada. He's on a super special mission and he'll be back soon." I said softly as I wiped a tear and kissed her forehead, Brooklyn turned and poked my face a little,
"Sad?" She mumbled, I giggled. I brushed a hair from her face,
"No, happy." I spoke softly before looking at my phone, "say hi Daddy." I said pointing, Brooklyn wobbled over and smiled into the camera before picking it up,
"Hi Dada." She squealed before kissing my phone. I took it from her and ended the video, I looked at the door as Brooke stumbled toward it, Steve was standing there and lifted up the little girl, my brother being a giant softy, never thought that's happen, I watched as he swayed with her and made her smile and giggle. That giggle could cure cancer,
"She said her first words." I said with a smile as I looked up at my brother who grinned,
"Can you say Uncle Steve?" He asked sweetly as he over pronounced every syllable, Brooke looked at him determined and started to mumble and babble trying to copy what Steve had said until she landed on,
"Unca Seve." I giggled before I kissed her cheek and walked past Steve as he kept trying to get her to say Uncle Steve. I went into the kitchen and got out a small cake, I quickly saw Nat walk in,
"Cake for little birthday girl?" She asked, I nodded,
"I have to record it for Bucky, for when he returns." I said as I carefully wrote 'Happy B-Day Brooke!' Across the cake,
"You still think he'd come back?" Nat asked, I nodded confidently,
"I'm still his wife and he has a little girl now." I put the small cake on her high chair,
"She won't budge." Steve spoke like a baby while walking into the kitchen before he put Brooklyn down. I lifted my phone and took a video of her looking at the cake before she picked some up and started eating it,
"Go Brookey!" Nat cheered off to the side, I lit up seeing my little girl so happy in a world that has been so sad. She doesn't know how sad it is, she's got that perfect innocence that I wish I had about now.
"Is it yummy?" Steve asked before Brooke lifted her tiny wrinkled hand and wiped frosting on his nose before she giggled infectiously,
"Unca Seve messy." She babbled as she laughed at Steve who was in slight shock,
"You're so much like your mother." He said before he tickled her gently sending her into a wild fit of giggles that bounced off the walls, Steve looked and me and winked, he did this just to get me to smile.
"I think she's the best of her mother and father wrapped up in one." I said laughing as Steve then took the phone from me and recorded me and Brooke who then wiped the frosting on my cheek. I laughed and wiped frosting on her nose before a full on food fight broke out between the adults and Brooklyn.

It was late that night that I had finally cleaned everything up including Brooklyn who was now fast asleep in her bed while I folded laundry,
"Do you miss him?" I heard mumbling I looked down to see Brooklyn fast asleep mumbling,
"I miss Daddy a lot but he's on a special mission munchkin." I spoke softly as I put our clothes away and closed the door to our room. I laid down in my bed and stared at the ceiling as I whispered to Bucky, "we all miss you and our baby is one, I can't believe it's been almost two years since you have been gone. I wish you could be here and meet little Brooke but I know you will soon enough, I feel it in my gut." I spoke softly before I got up and walked out of my room and to the office where Nat and Steve were talking with Rhodey, Rocket, Carol, and Okoye. I noticed as they all looked at me,
"We are still finding a way to get them back." Nat said softly I took a deep breath and looked around,
"What if we did what Thanos did? we use the stones and snap back half of reality." I stated as I started to map it out,
"The stones are destroyed though." Steve said, I took a deep breath before I looked down,
"And we have no way to time travel." I grumbled, I sat back and sighed as I looked up. Steve reached out and squeezed my shoulders,
"We'll figure it out." Okoye said confidently,
"Her plan is pretty solid though." Rocket said shrugging, I laughed. I looked at my hands and sighed,
"I wish I had the power to go back and fix this before it got this bad." I said softly,
"Knock it off Emily Grace." Steve threatened,
"Wanda would be able to but she isn't here, here I am a useless telekinesis person who can't even reverse time." I said before I stormed out and stood in the field, I'd ruined it all, I should have been able to prevent this but I couldn't.
