Chapter 11

Though many crazy things occurred today, going home knowing that my mom would buy subway because she'd come home late was the best thing to look forward to. I opened the front door and went straight to the refrigerator to store the ice cream then went to sit on the couch. It felt like my energy was draining from my body as I sat down. I was on the verge of falling asleep when I heard a notification from my phone.

Hey! It's Yuji   -6:28pm 

                                                Oh hi! Are you feeling okay now?   -6:30pm

Yeah, I feel much better now. Thanks for the help.    -6:31pm

                                         No problem! But I hope you don't mind me asking
how did he die? -6:32pm

No no it's okay. He got murdered right in his hospital ward. No one knows how he died but I have a feeling it's the work of a demon.    -6:33pm

Well when I saw his body there was traces of burns coming from the wound in his stomach and a steady ray of smoke kept creeping out from his wound. That's not normal at all. -6:36pm

                                           You do have a point but why? Why would somebody want to kill him? And a demon...why it go
Why go through all that trouble just to kill a human? It doesn't make sense. -6:39pm

I know right! I need to get to the bottom of this but...I'm weak.
I haven't unlocked my powers yet so I'm basically defenseless.  -6:42pm

                                                          But you're great at physical strength. I've seen you train when I pass by the fighting center. I believe in you plus it's normal for not unlocking your powers yet. All of us are still learning. -6:45pm

A couple minutes after I got another notification. I did get added to the group chat but even before entering, messages were already coming into my phone from random numbers. They were all texting me privately and Panda even apologized to me. The group chat was even more chaotic, there were tons of memes and gifs and they were arguing over if Panda was actually named 'panda' because he kinda looked like one.

Though most of them weren't active the chat was still blowing up like crazy. I even joined in on their discussion about Panda then we somehow ended up talking about which teacher was the best; of course we all agreed on Gojo. My life felt a bit complete now being able to have friends who actually liked talking to me.

I left my phone down for a while to wash my face because I was still feeling a little tired but didn't want to sleep yet because I was all too excited about eating subway, mostly because I was hungry. When I came back I got a message from another random number but this time I didn't know who it was.
