LadyBug and Chat Noir Short Stories

Chapter three

Every weekday afternoon Marinette had been learning about the miraculous box from Master Fu's Master Su-han. She had started being able to control the little creatures but chose not to, rathering to be their friend and have them choose the right action then force it on them.

This action caused alot of stress on Marinette as it was like raising tiny disobedient children. After her guardian training she would head off and hang with Luka as he always knew how to relax her.

Luka had been spending a lot of time with his father learning how to convert his feelings into songs. Even though he wasn't going out with Marinette any more he was glad that they remained friends and if anything he saw her more because of it. She still would suddenly disappear when an akuma was around and come back with some lame excuse, unless she had said that she was going home.

About a month after sleeping with Chat Noir Marinette threw up. She felt fine one minute and the next she was hurtling to the toilet losing her breakfast.

"Oh no, Marinette!" Tikki exclaimed.

"What is wrong Tikki?" Marinette asked worried.

"Marinette, you might be pregnant. Ladybugs tend to fall pregnant with Chat Noir's the first time they are together. It's why we discourage identity reveals and relationships in the young."

"Oh...I better get a test then" Marinette said.

Her Mum upon seeing how sick she was let her stay home from school. Tikki encouraged Marinette to tell her mum and the master of her possible situation and surprisingly Marinette did.

Marinette had no intentions of telling her friends though, nor the cat himself. She didn't want to burden him as she knew that he was her age but only a couple of months beforehand.

"Maman," Marinette said to her mum as she came up to check on her "I need to talk with you."

Sabine recognising that it was serious came into her loft and locked it, as she guessed it was something her husband would not cope with well.
"Yes dear?"

"Maman" Marinette started to tear up "Do you remember the akuma Encourager?"

"Yes"

"I am ashamed to admit it but I got caught by it on the way home from Adrien's and it encouraged me to do something that I wanted to wait until I was married for. I may now be pregnant with someone's baby. I didn't say anything as I was ashamed and mortified that I had slept with someone."

"Who was it, dear? Was it Adrien?"

"It was not Adrien Mum, it was Chat Noir. I didn't even realise I had felt like that about him. Afterwards he gave me a promise ring to love only me, but I can't wear it. It would put Chat Noir at risk."

"Chat Noir still loves you after all this time? I thought you broke up and he was with someone else."

"We did and he was, but he said that he never got over me and he was mine for the rest of his life."

"So sweet... I have a test in my room, I'll go get it."

"Why do you have a pregnancy test, Mum?"

"Because I thought that I might be, but it turns out that it was early menopause."

Marinette laughed nervously as Sabine left to get the test.

When Sabine returned with the test she instructed Marinette how to use it.

Marinette sat in the toilet nervously watching the stick. She watched her pee soak into the stick and two red lines appeared... she was definitely pregnant. Marinette cleaned herself up, flushed the toilet and washed her hands and took the test out to her Mum. Sabine guessed by her expression that she was pregnant and took the test to look at from the silent Marinette.
