LadyBug and Chat Noir Short Stories

Chapter four

"What do you mean spill?" Marinette asked her friend.

"1. Why are you really gone?
2. You've been putting on a lot of weight recently and
3. You have a lot of rings there girly and one looks suspiciously like the promise ring you had hidden." Alya demanded.

"Are you sure that you want to know all that Rena Rouge?... It's a very big burden to bear and you can't ever tell anyone- not even Nino.
I have been putting on weight lately as I am pregnant, the father is the one who gave me this ring, and yes I am wearing that ring as it doesn't look dissimilar to the other 2 rings I have earnt here through mediation and exercise." Marinette answered.

"On second thought I don't want to know everything, but you're pregnant! Congratulations! So how far along are you?"

"5 months" Marinette said "How's Chat Noir and Ma Ladybug going?"

"Pretty good actually- not as good as the original Ladybug but considering she's like his Mum out there, pretty good." Alya answered, then mused "Chat is often caught crying on Ma Ladybugs shoulder... I wonder why though."

"He misses Ladybug obviously!" Marinette said. "I have the most interesting check ups here for the babies. It is not like modern medicine at all. When I am nearly due I will be going back to Shanghai and having it there. Mum was adamant about this with the master. I feel it would be sooner than later because I am already finding it difficult to do the exercises required here. I am happy though. I have learnt so much!"

"Really? What sort of things have you been learning?" Asked Alya in reporter mode.

"Learning parqour is probably the simplest way of explaining what we do. Or maybe ninja skills and hours of meditative breathing. I am so proud of myself- I can hold my breath underwater now for 10 minutes! Master says I should be better when the babies are out."

"Wait! Really? You can hold your breath that long?" Alya asked amazed "And did you say baby's or babies?"

"Babies" said Marinette "Well, that's what they said."

"Are you ok with that?" Alya asked.

Marinette smiles "Yes, but I still don't know how to tell Chat. Hey Alya, is Adrien ok? He always seems so sad when I talk to him. I try everything to get a smile out of him like he use to smile, but I don't seem to succeed."

"Yeah, about that..." Alya started "He hasn't been himself since you left. He's like a walking zombie. Any girl who goes near him, apart from me, he shuts down almost cruelly, he's still polite about it but you know it seems that way to those who know him. He really hauled Lila over the coals, so much so that she changed schools."

"What happened to Kagami?" Marinette asked "Isn't he still with her?"

"No girl, they've been broken up for months..." Alya informed her "They hung out for a bit after they broke up but when you left he could not stand being around her. I am pretty sure that the only reason he tolerates me is because you are my friend and I am Nino's girlfriend."

"That's so wierd, I wonder why he's changed like this." Marinette looked genuinely concerned and puzzled.
"Any way Alya, tell me about the new Ladybug! I want to hear everything!"

And so the girls spent the rest of the time talking about Ma Ladybug, school mates and Luka. Marinette asked if Alya could make another night to catch up with everyone else on facetime - she would love to see Luka again as he had been chatting alot via text.

"Do you still love Luka?" Alya asked.

"I don't know, he's the sweetest guy but I still love Adrien, you know?"
