Babysitting the CEO's daughter

I stood in the living room, watching my mom expertly packed my daughter's backpack with her things: her clothes, a book, and a few toys. She was chatting with herself, seemingly oblivious to my presence, but I knew she was only half-aware of the world around her.

"I heard that you've hired a new babysitter," mom said, zipping up the backpack and turning to face me. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity.

I hesitated for a moment before responding. "Yeah, that's right."

My mom's gaze narrowed slightly, and I could sense her disapproval. "Why did you do that? You know I've been looking for someone to watch her while I'm away."

I took a deep breath, knowing I couldn't avoid the truth. "Mother, she needs money. Her sister is in the hospital, she's struggling because the hospital bills and medicines are expensive so I helped her."

My mom's expression softened slightly, but her voice remained firm. "I understand that, but maybe you could have told me before you hired someone. Mapagkakatiwalaan ba 'yan? Marami naman sigurong nag-apply, give me more reason why you hired her."

I felt my temper flare up, and before I could stop myself, a curse word slipped out. "Tangina 'ma, wala ngang nag-aapply."

My mom's eyes widened in shock and then, she shook her head.

"Oh, Leonoxx Khaos, language!" her scolding tone was familiar, but it still made me cringe.

I took a deep breath and apologized, feeling a mix of guilt and frustration. My mom was right; I shouldn't have sworn in front of her. But what was there to say? The situation was dire, and I had no other choice.

"Bakit walang nag-apply?" she asked more. "Sa issue ba?"

I licked my lips before nodding. She really knew what was the reason why. It's the issue that I got before I decided to open a babysitter application job . I was accused of hurting women, abducting and raping them; which wasn't true. I will never do that.

Ever since that issue, wala na ang nag-tangka pang mag-apply sa ino-offer kong job sa mga babae. Hindi ko rin gusto na lalaki ang babysitter ng anak ko, baka kung ano pa ang gawin niya sa pinakamamahal kong anak. May nakikita kasi akong nang r-rape ng mga bata and I don't want that to happen to my baby.

As we stood there in silence, my gaze wandered to the living room where my daughter played with her favorite dolls on the floor. Suddenly, I saw her throw aside a doll and stand up, looking around the room with a confused expression. And then she spotted me and her face lit up.

"Daddy!" she exclaimed, racing towards me with open arms.

I felt a surge of love and relief as I scooped her up in my arms, trying to make up for the tension between my mom and me.

My baby will meet her new babysitter now. I hope she will like her, Maxzein's a nice person...

Pawis na pawis ako dahil sa paglilinis. Halos sinimot ko na lahat ng alikabok dito sa bahay kahit na wala namang kalat, siniid ko lang talaga dahil wala akong magawa. I was just waiting for sir Leo to comeback. Sabi niya kasi ay susunduin na raw niya ang anak niya na nasa villa ng mother niya.
