renee woke up with randy's faced pressed into her stomach. he had his hands wrapped around her stomach as he snored away in his slumber. she let her fingers trace down his shoulder blades, outlining some of the tattoos that were coming up this far.
he hadn't moved an inch and she didn't have the heart to wake him up. she looked at the time and saw it was only seven in the morning. she laid her head back down on the pillow and tried desperately to fall asleep, after about twenty five minutes, she was successful.
they had slept the day away as randy lifted his head up. he checked the time and it was one in the afternoon. he chuckled to him as he looked up to see renee who was in a deep sleep. he kissed her stomach twice before getting up. randy got into the shower before starting what was left of the day.
he walked back into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist, sitting on the edge of the bed in front of her head. he placed his hand in the dip of her waist while she laid on her side, trying to shake her awake. "baby, wake up." he mumbled, but she didn't bat an eye. he trailed his hand up, running his hand through her short blonde hair. "you look so pretty." he said, pressing a kiss to her lips.
he left her alone after that, he got up and got dressed before heading to the "backyard". it was definitely hotter than he expected especially considering that yesterday he was freezing. renee was right, the temperature here would surprise him. he laid down on the grass as the sun shone down brightly on his back. he laid flat and thoughts of the past six months of his life flashed before his eyes.
it started with him working his ass off to be the new CEO of the company he started fresh outta law school at, and he did. he was now one of the most important men at the firm, he was name partner, a CEO. he was proud of himself. he then thought onto his love life. he started out as a lonely man who didn't really think love was gonna happen for him. he believed that he was only going to archive career success, but here he was, more in love than he could've ever imagined. he had met the most amazing girl and she loved him too. he smiled to himself, fingering the glass. he was so deep in thought that he didn't hear the screen door open and close. renee walked up to him and laid her head on his back, spreading her legs out beneath her.
"hey." she mumbled to him as she flipped over, so her cheek was pressed up against his shoulder. "how long have you been up?"
"uh, about thirty minutes?" he replied and she nodded. she trailed her hand all the way down to his as she entangled their hands. he smiled before pulling her under him. her chest pressed against his as he looked down at her. "hi."
"hi." she giggled while he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. he pressed a kiss to her collar phone. a blush crept her cheeks while he pulled away. "i think you're the most handsome person i've ever met."
"renee, are you flirting with me?"
"oh, randy, i'm always flirting with you." she chuckled before pressing their lips together. she hummed into the kiss and that's when she realized where she was six months ago. she was "happily" engaged to a man who was verbally abusive. she tried everyday for six months to convince herself that it was never going to get better and this was the best she was ever going to get, but then randy came along. he changed her life. with his kind words, his loving smile and his love. he made her feel more loved than she could've ever imagined. he pulled away from the kiss, looking down her eyes. his eyes met hers and he chuckled to himself.
"don't tell me, you've reverted back to clinging onto my every word." he smirked, caressing her hips. her breath hitched making him laugh again. "i liked it when you were like that."
"you did?"
"yeah, that's the moment that i knew you loved me." he explained. "also, we had some good sex that week."
"stupid good." she chuckled. it was true. that entire week when they were alone, it was magical. "but i mean, it can be that good right now, baby."
"here?" he asked with a shocked expression. renee nodded and he laughed. "you sure?"
"yes." she said as he untied her bikini top. she chuckled as his eyes immediately dropped from hers to her chest. "seeing them hasn't gotten old yet?"
"oh, ms orton, it'll never get old." he said kissing her neck and making his way down. she giggled before flipping them over where she took control.
they laid in the grass until the both got hungry. "what're you thinking?"
"ou, can we cook. i like cooking with you." she said and he laughed.
"i'm literally no help in the kitchen."
"i know, but it's the thought that counts. ou! we could make burritos."
"okay, great." he said standing up, pulling her up with him. she lead him into the kitchen where they debated on what they wanted in the burrito. "chicken or beef?"
"chicken. quac and beans?"
"of course." was his last response before they began to chef away in the kitchen, well mostly renee, but randy did chop up all the vegetables. she cooked the last of the chicken while she warmed the beans. "finally, i am starving." he joked as she wrapped them up, handing him a plate.
"can we start the fire place?"
"babe, it's like 100 degrees outside." he said before she frowned with big eyes. "fineee." he laughed, giving into her weird request. he started the fire and sat down in front of it with her as they ate their lunch.
"randy, can we talk about something?"
"yeah, of course." he replied. she turned facing him, scooting a little closer before she spoke.
"you love me right?"
"yes, i do." he said with a confused face. "a lot."
"good 'cause, i-" she took a deep breath as if what she was going to say next was a hard thing to say. "i'm going to love you forever and i just need to know i'm not alone."
"god, renee." he chuckled. randy placed his plate down before taking her away too. he pulled her in between his legs looking her into the eyes. "i've loved you long before i met you. i knew that i loved the woman who was my soulmate and she's you. you're everything to me."
"and what if i told you that there's more?"
"what?"
"so, remember the other day when i told you i was going out with sasha?" she asked and he nodded with caution. "well, i was actually at a doctor and uh, turns out the eggs that i froze when i was eighteen are still very healthy and very capable."
"are you saying what i think you're saying?" he said with a proud smile. she nodded vigorously making him cheer. he pulled her in for a celebratory kiss before she pulled a little back.
"you want a baby with me?" she said with tears welling in her eyes.
"renee, c'mon, i want everything with you, the house, the marriage, the kids." he said as he held her in between his hands. "look i know we're kind of 'new', but i can't help but think that this was the way it was all supposed to pan out. i'm happy with you and i can't wait until we can have a baby."
"the house?" she mumbled with a smile. "are you saying you wanna move in together?"
"hell yeah." he chuckled wiping away her tears. she nodded. "yeah?"
"of course, i will." she chuckled through her tears. he kissed her lips repeatedly before pulling away.
"oh renee, i think we just started our real life together."
"yeah, me too, baby."
