"let's go away."

it had been three days since renee's meltdown and things were going okay. she learned to communicate to randy when she was feeling down and why she was feeling down. he loved that she was trying.

he rolled over in the bed to reach for her, but she wasn't there. he sighed before sitting up, she was always out of bed before he was. today was his day off, he wanted to cuddle.

"hey." she said shivering as she came out of the bathroom in a towel with wet hair. he looked at her questionably. "forgot me clothes."

"oh, okay.." he trailed off with a laugh as she waddled over to her clothes and headed back into the bathroom.

"uh, oh." he heard from the bathroom making him shoot up. he tried to the door, but realized it was locked.

"renee?"

"yeah, just a minute." she said panicking as she ruffled through his cupboard. she could've sworn she brought tampons because she knew her period was coming this weekend. "dammit."

"are you gonna tell me what's going on?"

"yes, but just a minute." she sighed. she could text sasha, but she felt bad because she was probably resting or prepping the nursery. she could call nikki, but she had a very demanding job while charlotte was busy putting out fires. "can you do me a huge favor?" she asked sucking up her pride, it was for the greater good.

"yeah?"

"i sent you a picture of what i need you to buy for me, okay?" she started and he mumbled an answer. he chuckled at a picture of a box of tampons. "there's money in my-"

"i'll be back." he said rolling his eyes. renee always did that, every time she asked him to buy her something, she tried to force money on him. he knew it was because that's the relationship with corey, but he needed her to know that he had her whether it was financially, emotionally or physically.

he headed to the nearest drug store. he walked in and looked around for the women's supply isle. he looked down at the picture on his phone and matched it to blue and green box of tampons. he grabbed one along with his shaving cream and headed to the cash.

"for the lady?" the man at the cash laughs.

"for me actually." randy winked and the man looked back at him horrified. he cashed him out before backing away. "have a nice day." he got back into his car and cruised home. he felt a little good about himself on his ride home. he had just bought his wife tampons and a year ago he would have been embarrassed, but today he couldn't help but feel proud that he even had a wife to buy them for.

he got home and renee was back in the shower. he opened the bathroom door which she unlocked, thankfully. he placed the tampons on the sink before leaning up against the door. "you okay?"

"yeah, just cold, but this always happens." she says as she steps out of the shower, wrapping herself in a towel with chattering teeth.

"how about you get dressed and we can cuddle up together before we order some dinner?"

"sounds amazing." she smiled. he nodded, kissing her forehead, leaving her alone in the bathroom. she got dressed and headed out to his living room. she sat down on the chair in front of the burning fire. she was cold. while most girls got cramps for their period, she got chills. really bad ones.

"i ordered italian, you're favourite."

"thank you." she smiled before patting the place to sit down beside her. a soft smile appeared on his face before the door bell rang. "always interrupting us." she giggled. randy chuckled as he went to answer the door. he soon made his way to sit back down next to renee.

"what do you wanna watch?" he asked and she shook her head.

"i just wanna talk, to you."

"okay, let's talk."

she scooted closer to him, placing his plate along with hers down on the coffee table. she took his arms and wrapped them around herself before she reached up and kissed him. he immediately kissed back although he was a little taken back. renee moaned into the kiss happily before slowly pulling away. "over the past week, you have seen so much of my ugly and you're still here, i just wanted to say thank you because no man has ever stayed before." she smiled sadly making randy give her a reassuring squeeze.

"those were no men, they were boys. renee you're perfect to me, i don't care about having children if it means i get have love in my life forever."

"forever?" she asked with big eyes. they hadn't talked about their future together at all. she wanted one, she knew that for sure.

"yeah."

"it sure is a long time though, you can't get sick of me." she whispered up to him as he leaned down to her, pressing their foreheads together.

"shut up." he said before kissing her once again. she smiled as he pulled away. they sat in silence starring at each other for a while.

"let's go away."

"away? where?"

"to my dad's old cabin up in ontario. it's summer time, we could do some damage." she chuckled making him nod.

"i'm down."

"yes!" she cheered happily. she had always wanted a reason to go back to canada, but it just never happened, until now that is.

"alone?"

"i was thinking, sasha and seth can't come because she's pregnant and they have a lot of last minute things they need to do."

"cross them off." randy nodded, rubbing up and down renee's calf that was laying on top of his thigh.

"carmella is even more pregnant than sasha is."

"god, i forgot-"

"that leaves roman and nikki ... unless you really wanna go alone." she smiled sweetly making randy question why he asked in the first place.

"when do we leave?"

"you're off for two weeks?" she asked and he nodded. renee was her own boss and she hadn't been in since the corey incident, she plans to vacation with randy before returning. "so how about friday? we'll stay for eight days."

"sounds good to me, baby."

"great." she blushed deeply before picking back up her food. "and as for a movie, can we watch nerve."

"anything for you." he smiled before turning on the movie and taking a bite of his garlic bread.
