Dad had brought me along to the police station opening and I stayed behind dad as I was weary of the new sergeant and Sam Sam had a hand placed on my shoulder and crouched down to my level as Steele was talking to Malcolm and said "Jones she won't hurt you, promise"

I smile and say "Okay, I smell cake"

"Of course you smell cake" Sam laughed as he stood up

Rose arrived and cut the rope and Sam lead in me by the shoulder and everyone was passed tea and cake and Malcolm crouched down to give me some cake and I said thanks as I was also passed a can of coke from dad

Just then the lockdown drill alarm went off so the coke went all over me and my cake

I was used to the fire alarm this I wasn't so now I was in a grump

Thanks grandad not - I thought gingerly

I then overhear dad and Malcolm talking and I decided to go to them after I realise there's no cake left and I'm not eating a soggy piece of cake as it each there I muttered "Famous last words"

I looked up at them with tears in my eyes as Sam picked me up and I cry into his shoulder and Sam saw the state of me and the cake and Malcolm said "we've got anthour cake I'll go get her some"

Sam nodded and it was hard but he shook Rose's hand without dropping me and I shook her hand as I was put down

"Jones" Sam said as he introduced me to her as I say "Sam's daughter"

I tap my hair and Sam said "Yes Jones same hair"

Rose laughed as Steele saw us both and Malcolm arrived with some more cake for me and I said thanks as I climb up on my grandads lap once he's sat down for payback and eat my cake with a spoon

Steele let me sit on him and didn't say anything to question it but when they were alone (or so they thought) Sam had explained what had happened and Steele felt guilty

"No guilty grandad" I exclaim as I hugged him

"Where you come from?" Both Sam and Steele asked

"Me to know, you to find out" I tease
