Famous for its Idli, Tamil Nadu is situated in the southern part of the sub-continent. On its east lies the Indian Ocean, and Tamil Nadu is surrounded by Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Chennai, known as the first British Port, is the capital of the State of Temples. Yes, Tamil Nadu is known as the State of Temples. This beautiful state is governed by Banwarilal Purohit, who is the 14th Governor of Tamilnadu. Elected by the people, the Chief Minister was Jayalalitha until her demise, after which EPS or Edappadi Karuppa Gounder Palaniswami had taken the post. The current party ruling in the state is AIADMK or All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. The elections this year will determine who will take over.

Tamil Nadu is not only known for its Idli Sambar but also is known for its temples and widely spread agriculture. It is one of the most famous tourist spots. They have made their way into this world and achieved fame. There is no particular local deity of this state.
