"Indeed," Madeleine nodded in agreement as she and Alfonse laughed in unison.

In all of the sudden, a beautiful lass with a lovely indigo gown caught Lucie's attention as she looks really familiar to her.

"Pardon me, m'lord," Lucie took an excuse to approach the lass.

Walking towards the lass wasn't easy, as there were dozens of people on her way.

Lucie found it exhausting to walk with a ball-gown through a crowded ball while muttering the word "pardon" every time she walked by a person.

After an exhausting walk that seems like forever, Lucie finally made it towards the lass.

"Pardon," Lucie said as she tapped the lass' shoulder trying to spit the 'pardon' word one more time.

As the lass turn to Lucie, she smiled with a really familiar face.

"Oh my! I beg your sorry, lass! I have ought that you were someone else," Lucie said unable to say 'pardon' anymore.

"Oh! Do not feel sorry, lady..?"

"Lucie, marquise of se Bonheur," Lucie smiled proudly.

"Ah, se prince's brother's lady I see!," the lass wiggled her eyebrows.

"Aye! It is not like you ought.."

"Annabelle," she cutted "Se duchess of the Claiton"

Lucy's eyes widened.

Claiton is indeed not in France. Which mean she was really an honourable woman.

"Good Lord! I am truly sorry Madame Annabelle! I have ought you were... younger..," she bowed.

"Well, I do not know if I should feel honoured or not," Annabelle chuckled a bit joking.

Annabelle was indeed a humorous type of a woman.

"So, do continue telling me about how did thou got thy chilvaric rank? Every noble has their own story," she asked with her lovely accent.

"Ah, yes! Of course!," Lucie exclaimed.

Lucie explained the story about her mother (Emma) has saved the empress.

"That was indeed interesting and a little bit cliché," Annabelle said.

"Oh, and I am truly sorry for I had disrespected you Madame," Lucy apologize once more.
