Hermione was struggling to control Archie, the wind had picked up and the horse was getting agitated

"Easy!" She ordered him

Archie pulled back and Hermione fell off Molson, Hermione quickly stood up and tried to get control back

"Archie!"

The horse stood on its hinge legs and kicked its front legs, Hermione stumbled back and lost her footing, she tumbled down the ravine and hit her head against a rock

A wave of pain flushed through her body, Hermione felt her body going numb

The ring heated up slightly but Hermione knew that by the time they found her, she would be dead

She was so tempted to go in, it would be easy, it would be—

"Mon enfant!"

Hermione gasped, she opened her eyes and Madam Marie-Rose was leaving over over, she had to be hallucinating, it wasn't possible

"M-Madam..." Hermione slurred, Madam Marie-Rose pulled a wand and cast a healing spell

"Stay with me ma chérie, I have you"

"I-I'm c-cold" Hermione whispered

Madam Marie-Rose gently cupped her cheek

"Ma belle fille, I'm here, you're safe my child"

"W-why did—why did y-you...l-leave me?" She asked her

"I didn't want to mon trésor, I was asked too, I never left you ma ballerine parfaite, I never left"

Hermione closed her eyes and darkness engulfed her

Hermione sat up, she rubbed the back of her neck, a small bump was there from her accident

Hermione brought her knees to her chest and put her head on her arms

"You did...you weren't there"

She got out of bed and padded into the common room, Draco was already awake when she emerged

"Hi" she whispered

Draco turned to her

"Rough night?" He asked her

Hermione nodded and sat across from him

"The night of my accident...I could swear I saw Madam Marie-Rose" Hermione confessed "but then again I did hit my head so I don't fret too much on it"

Draco summoned the chess board and prepared it

"A round?" He asked her, she nodded

"You say you saw Madam Marie-Rose, what did she say?" Draco asked her

"That she never wanted to leave me, that someone asked her to leave me"

She made the first move

"And?"

"She healed me, how bad was I when you found me?" She asked him

Draco made his move

"I was surprised to be honest, you didn't break any bones and even though you had a concussion it wasn't as bad as I thought"

"So what? It was luck that I didn't kill myself or was it something else?" She asked

"I found you because a bird kept flying in my face"
