Draco and Blaise sat together well away from Pansy for the rest of their classes who was still red-eyed from crying about Draco's rejection. Blaise was going with Draco to the head dorm for a bit to avoid Pansy using him to make Draco jealous. (which has happened but never successfully)

Hermione was out doing rounds with Ginny since the actual Head boy and girl didn't want people looking at them walking together having a civilised conversation.

As they arrive to the dorm, he said the password and the portrait swung open. Draco headed towards the mini-kitchen. He opened one of the cabinets he had hidden, full of his secret stash of alcohol. He grabbed a bottle of firewhiskey and poured it into two glasses.

Blaise made himself comfortable in one of the arm chairs to the side of the main area, he smirked as he saw Draco walking back with their favourite beverage of choice. Draco handed one of them to Blaise while sitting on the longer couch facing the fireplace.

"Head dorm's pretty sweet!" Blaise cheered after taking a sip of his firewhiskey.

Draco chuckled then nodded, it has only been one night there but he'd already loved the place, much homier than the Slytherin common room in the dungeons, especially with Herm-. "Yea, it's nice. There are two rooms, one for Hermione and one for me."

Blaise nodded, "So, are you and Hermione a thing now?"

Draco looked back at him, "Well no, but she has told me that we aren't exactly just friends."

"So you're like friends with benefits?" Blaise asked jokingly.

"Ha! As if, Hermione wouldn't do that." Draco replied shaking his head with a grin.

"If you guys aren't, then what exactly are you doing making you guys more than friends?" Blaise asked.

"I mean, there's been some light flirting. We may or may not have been giving each other random kisses..." Draco said looking away.

Blaise's eyes went wide, "Like kisses on the cheek or the lips?"

"CHEEK! I've also may or may not have kissed her once on her forehead." Draco muttered, "Enough questions! we're not dating but we're not just friends."

Blaise rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah alright, do you like her?"

Draco looked at him as if he had grown a third eye, "Of course not!"

Blaise chuckled and under his breath he muttered "Yet."

Just then they both jump as they heard someone groaning frustratedly outside their door, and the knight guarding their door came in through another portrait, "There's an angry Slytherin girl outside, demanding to see her boyfriend?"

Blaise and Draco looked at each other rolling their eyes, "Don't let her in! We'll go out." Draco said.

The knight nodded and went back to his original portrait, "Mister Malfoy has told me not to let you in, but he will be coming out."

They took a deep breath before walking through the portrait hole that's just been opened. They saw Pansy smiling slightly at them, with wide hope-filled eyes. "Hey guys!" She said cheerfully.

"What do you want Pansy?" Blaise asked.

"I just wanted to see you Draco, now that SHE isn't here. You don't have to act so nice to her, come to the Slytherin dorm tonight! We're throwing a huge party, they wanna bring basic old games like spin the bottle and 7 minutes in heaven. Since it's our last year we have to find our partners, Draco! Come on!"

Draco rolled his eyes and sighed. "Pansy, I wasn't just acting nice earlier, really I meant everything I said." Draco takes a deep breath, "And if you're meant to find your partner, how would it involve me?"

Pansy's mouth opened widely, "There's no way you two are friends now! And you're going to be mine! Whether you like it or not! It will happen!"

"No it won't Pansy! Sure I don't like her, but I rather go a thousand dates around the world with her than one with you! I'm never going to date you! Sleep with everyone in our school, see if I care!"

With that Pansy exhaled sharply and walked away wiping her eyes before tears managed to fall out. Blaise rolled his eyes and walked back inside, Draco watched her leave before shaking his head, sighing and heading back inside as well.

Hermione and Ginny were out doing their runs, while Ginny was still confused on the incident that happened in the bathroom earlier that day. Hermione was really uncomfortable since she had learnt her best friend wasn't going to be accepting of her and Draco's relationship.

In a desperate attempt to change the topic from her and Draco's 'relationship', she directed it towards Lavender and Ron's. "Hey Ginny, wanna know what happened between lavender and Ron?" She asked.

Ginny looked over at Hermione and nodded eagerly, "Oh yes please! I need some drama, I wish lunch didn't end that early!"

Hermione smiled, "Well, they sat in the back of the class while Harry and I sat at the table next to them. Oh, I have to tell you!"

Ginny raised an eyebrow, "Related to the story?"

Hermione shook her head, with a smile she announced, "Harry likes you!"

Ginny's hands immediately covered her mouth and she squealed silently. "Does he really?"

Hermione nodded grinning ear to ear, she sighed happily, "I can't believe you two! This is so exciting!"

Ginny ran ahead and started to twirl and jump around the corridor towards the head dorm, they had finished their run and were heading back for the night but Ginny stopped in her tracks and rushed back towards Hermione.

She was trailing behind slowly, giggling to herself, "Oh hey Ginny, done being lovesick?"

Ginny rolled her eyes, "I'm not lovesick, I'm purely celebrating my new victory."

Hermione chuckled, "Oh yeah, for sure." she answers sarcastically. "Was there something you needed? You're always welcome to stay the night."

Ginny thought about it but shook her head, "No, not tonight. I need to talk to Harry, but that's it. I want you to be there when me and Harry talk about it besides, you haven't finished the story about Lavender and my brainless brother."

Hermione laughed again, "I would love to tell you and I would also love to see you confronting Harry about it but..."

Hermione paused, how was she supposed to tell her that she was waiting to hear something from Draco and that Draco might worry about her.

"But... what?" Ginny asked.

"Well... I... have to... to t-tell Draco that I'm done with the rounds and I have a lot of homework to do." Hermione reasoned.

"Well then just go in, tell him you're done and staying in my dorm. You're in the same classes as Ron and Harry, you can do your homework with them."

Hermione reluctantly nodded, she decided to also pack her bag while having the conversation with Draco since she had to know why Pansy was so mad and started to cry. "Yeah sure, don't wait up. Go ahead first. I have to pack my bag.

Ginny smiled and nodded, "Alright, I won't start anything before you arrive. See you later."

Hermione nodded and continued the rest of the walk towards the head dorm.
