Cloudy with a chance of changes









       Y/N GROANED, finally collapsing down onto their cool bed after a long day at school. It had been so long since they felt the sweetness of ice cream, the warmth of the summer, the chill of the winter—their mind is on school so much that that don't even recognize their own bedroom anymore.

       "BEEP!"

The teen muttered the wicked words of a sailor at sea and flopped onto their belly. Their body was limp like a corpse and sore everywhere.

"BEEP!"

They face-planted their half-lidded face into their pillow, the coolness of the AC brought comfort to their skin.

Their eyelashes fluttered softly as darkness swallowed their vision.

        It was peaceful.

        The dim light emitting from the lamppost across the street crawled through their window, the leftover pitter-patters of the faint raindrops dripping onto the pavement from the afternoon shower, the toasty sensation from being bundled up within the fluffy blanket brought Y/N much joy.

        "I swear to god—shut up already!"

       'Who's "Nerd"?' they asked themselves. Y/N didn't have any friends—people that they confided in, so it wouldn't be one of them. Parents? Nah, they're mean and strict, too "mature" to do things like this. 'Maybe it was a accident.'

        Y/N grumbled words under their morningized breath. "Dear maker, the things I would do for extra hours of slumber."
