Connors POV
I very nervously tried to pick out what to wear for my 'date' with Savannah. It's been a week since what happened at Tommy's and we're both finally free and to say I'm nervous would be a huge understatement.
This is my chance to show her that I'm serious about us getting back together. I love her and I never stopped. She's always been on my mind and losing her would probably ruin me. Now I know how she felt for 18 months. And it's not only about her but Hazel too. I'm gonna officially meet my daughter and honestly I still can't believe it.
I just really hope that she likes me. I heard two knocks on my door and looked over to see my mom leaning against the doorframe.
"Why do you look like a 14 year old boy going on his first date?" she asked me and I gave her an annoyed look.
"Because I'm finally going out with Savannah. It's like a second first date." I shrugged. "Which tie?" I turned to her and held up two ties to my neck.
"Connor, relax." she chuckled. She walked over and put one of the ties around the collar of my shirt. "Just be a gentlemen but don't push anything on her. If she's not ready to get back together then you have to respect that."
"I know but I really love her ma. And I wish things could have stayed good between us. I was an idiot for leaving." I sighed sadly. "Plus, I'm meeting Hazel for the first time so that makes me want to shit my pants."
"You're so dramatic."

Savannahs POV
I set Hazel on the floor and went to her small closet to pick out something for her to wear. I'm extremely nervous for her to meet Connor and I just hope she doesn't close herself off like she does with other people.
I grabbed an outfit for her and thank god it was gonna be warmer out. I hate Texas weather. One day it can be hot as balls and the next day it can be raining.
"You're really going on this date?" I looked to the doorway and saw my mom.
"Yeah." I shrugged. "He seemed pretty serious about making things right between us. I may not forgive him but I have to let him meet Hazel."
"Do you think she'll like him?" I sighed and looked down at Hazel who was playing with her toys on the ground. She was sitting on her knees with a pacifier in her mouth and a small toy car in her hand.
"I hope she likes him." I said.
"Mama!" Hazel squealed through her pacifier. I looked down at her and saw that she stacked up her blocks.
"Good job sweetheart!" I clapped my hands making her giggle and clap as well. I looked back at my mom who had her arms crossed. "Okay, what's wrong with you?"
"Savannah, I don't want you getting your heart broken again by him." she told me sternly. "I mean, you were completely ruined last time and he's gonna have to leave in a few months. How is that supposed to work?"
"I don't know mom. I never said we were getting back together. We can just stay friends if that's what needs to happen but I can't just keep him away from Hazel. She's his daughter and I already deprived him of 9 months of her life."
"Which you had good reason for." my mom nodded.
"Did I?" I raised my brows. "I could have asked Olivia if she had any form of contact with him. I could have just told him about Hazel but instead I was selfish just because I didn't want to see him."
"Honey, you're not selfish." my mom shook her head. "You were heartbroken. The man you were supposed to marry got you pregnant and then left."
"But he didn't know I was pregnant."
