"Then to the next candidate... It is you."-rhys

Those words echoed like thunder on my ears

I frowned at what I heard and sunk into my own deep thoughts

So far, According to everything I heard from Rhys that would mean everyone in that meeting agreed on having me marry off to the neighboring Empire by the north's crown prince

After pulling my self together, I looked up at Rhys and blurted out thoughtlessly

"Should I marry the guy then just kill him off? Or maybe we can go on a war and just kill every imperial family member of that Empire"

"Hey, you know you look like you're really going to do it that its starting to get scary. Don't worry there's good news because your parents seem to love you so much that they asked the Emperor on giving them more time to think about it. And regarding the fact that your mother sent that letter, I think they want your opinion about this."

"What can my small opinion of 'no' to them do? They would still Marry me off to some guy I don't know a single shit about. Unless I'm engaged and soon getting married like young lady Penalver or I have a weak body like the princess, maybe I could somehow get out of this mess... There's actually another option."

"What is this other option you talk of?"-rhys

I hesitated for a bit before telling him this

"Shall we go to the border between the two Empires to fix their stupid problems?" I asked

"That's quite a good idea, You are a genius and easily finds the rightful solution to a problem, but let's not be impulsive my lady and wait till we hear out what your parents have to say."-rhys

"You're right."

"I'll go to your Empire before you to take care of some things"-rhys

"Alright, let's get out of the carriage. I'll send you off your way" I said

He stepped out the carriage first before opening the carriage door for me and reaching out a hand for my support

I took his hand, took a step out as my feet landed on the ground

"Ah right, I almost forgot. About your reward...?"

I asked

He only smiled at me and said

"I'll tell you about it when we meet at the imperial capital. See you there."-rhys

After saying that he left with his escorts

Few minutes after Rhys left, I went back inside the carriage

After a week of travelling without any hindrance we finally arrived at the imperial capital

Since it is a long process to enter, It took a whole hour to confirm our identities and purpose before we could officially enter the place 

wow, the capital city sure is extravagant, as expected of the city where the Imperial family resides, there were many bustling stores all over the place but it still managed to look neat and clean

I knocked on the carriage window a few times to gain one of the stewards attention from the outside since my butler is on another carriage

I felt the carriage stop as a voice from the outside sounded

"Milady is there something you'd like?" 

I opened the window 

"how long are we estimated to arrive in the estate?"
